  1. YES! I'm up bright and early. Al is a slave driver. He told Scott L. and I to be ready at the lodge at 6 AM  :jester: I do have a couple of pics from the drive yesterday, but no time to post yet. I have to go get the camera rigged up. There are about 20+ cars here already. I'm HORRIBLE with names :nonod:
  2. Doesn't it make you speed up when you have that mean looking seven on your bumper?
  3. unless it floats.
  4. No need. It will work fine  I did try direct battery, and measured 12.5V with my voltmeter, and got nothing. Maybe I had a disconnected wire somewhere. Either way, I'll be recording with it this weekend. Thanks for getting it out so quickly.
  5. Got you covered mang... The bare aluminum hood has a nice beech towel securely over it. As for the paint - well if it takes any off, it's done me a huge favor  Those who have seen my car know what I'm talking about. I worked on the mechanicals last year. I'll work on the cosmetics this off season. How's your trip?
  6. alot of our shots will show up here next week. He's already mentioned our gathering coming up  http://killboy.blogspot.com/
  7. Just got a call from Michael D. He said troopers are out in force. He ran across radar setups about every 40 miles. Be careful out there. Cheers.

    WTF

  9. view outside my house, 1 min. ago http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1494841556_CIMG1641 (Small).JPG
  10. It's raining cats and dogs here right now. Looks like you're only getting cats there
  11. I't bungeed under the front, under the rear, over the font of the hood, and over the front of the windshield. Didn't use any duct tape though
  12. I'll come by myself. They may not let y'all in if I'm with you.
  13. Since I have no weather gear, it's pretty much guaranteed we'll hit rain on the way. So, here comes the tarp :nonod: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/598013247_CIMG1640 (Small).JPG I test drove the trailer and car this morning (for the first time), and it's totally stable at speed. I'll do one more drive to make sure the tarp is adequately secured.
  14. Jill who? :jester:
  15. That Mini #92 was a wild man. I'm surprised his tires lasted more than 2 laps.
  16. I will give it a shot tomorrow... any advice on power supply? I robbed the kids' DVD player power supply and that seems to work. It wouldn't fire up with straight 12.5 Volts (engine off)
  17. He's having troubles getting the stock speedo to work.
  18. without a reverse gear, how will you go back home? :jester:
  19. :yesnod: Hopefully they can also add massive downforce. The current Z ran 7:40 at the ring in '06. That car can really fly (picture is from that run) http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/439717144_887014439CorvetteNBRMagScan1.jpg This is from an interview with Jan Magnuson, who drives for Chevy in the LeMans series, and set the 7:40 time:
  20. Sony DCRHC40 MiniDV Digital Handycam.
  21. actually, I just fired it up, and it does have a black and white mode. So that was it. It's too dark to test it out now.
  22. when i recorded this, it was twilight, so that may have something to do with it.
  23. no :nonod: When I was testing it at home, color would fade in and out. I don't know what's causing that. I have no experience with these cams. It didnt come with a power supply nor a manual, and Gert is on travel so I can't ask him.
  24. I bought Gert's Sony CCD 520 bullet cam. It arrived yesterday, and I got around to hooking it up in the car today. Here are the results. The biggest improvement I was looking for over my existing setup (all my videos so far are with my digital camera - very hassle free) was to get rid of the buffeting noise, because my digital camera does not accept incoming audio. I will do an actual drive tomorrow if it is not raining (not looking good right now) What do you think? stick with the old, or the new?
  25. Dino, That's fantastic!
