  1. that's why I don't live there. Snowshoe is also always super windy. I recall skiing there in the late 80s when wind chill was -50. I was young back then. Skied all day.
  2. There was a brief few hours warm enough to take out frankn7 last weekend, and there was no time. it's gonna be cold again for the next 2 weeks. was planning on going skiing at snowshoe this weekend - canned that too. Saturday high of 15, low of 9. Don't need to ski that bad.

    Zombies!

to my left. A laser printer, a color inkjet printer, hard drive reader, and mini stapler. Just outside the window, my old Yukon. I might be able to take a few Zombies out if I make it to the yukon.
  10. Bravo Tom
  11. Merry Christmas to you and yours Russ. I was hoping for a warm enough Christmas to wake up the beast, but it looks like she'll be hibernating this Christmas.
  12. well, the lead reindeer does have a red nose due to the air resistance. perhaps Santa has deputies.
  13. It's late fall and the Indians on a remote reservation in South Dakota asked their new chief if the coming winter was going to be cold or mild. Since he was a chief in a modern society, he had never been taught the old secrets. When he looked at the sky, he couldn't tell what the winter was going to be like. Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, he told his tribe that the winter was indeed going to be cold and that the members of the village should collect firewood to be prepared. But, being a practical leader, after several days, he got an idea. He went to the phone booth, called the National Weather Service and asked, 'Is the coming winter going to be cold?' 'It looks like this winter is going to be quite cold,' the meteorologist at the weather service responded. So the chief went back to his people and told them to collect even more firewood in order to be prepared. A week later, he called the National Weather Service again. 'Does it still look like it is going to be a very cold winter?' 'Yes,' the man at National Weather Service again replied, 'it's going to be a very cold winter.' The chief again went back to his people and ordered them to collect every scrap of firewood they could find. Two weeks later, the chief called the National Weather Service again. 'Are you absolutely sure that the winter is going to be very cold?' 'Absolutely,' the man replied. 'It's looking more and more like it is going to be one of the coldest winters we've ever seen.' 'How can you be so sure?' the chief asked. The weatherman replied, 'The Indians are collecting a ****load of firewood'

  16. that was awesome
  17. LOL. that was awesome.
  18. Steve, all the ones listed above will work... it will depend on the individual car, who built it, and build quality.
  19. Wow Steve, Good luck with the sale. I'm way to attached to my cars to sell any of them. I think we've only sold one car that still had some life left in it, and that was a little Subaru when we needed a minivan. At least it sounds like you're doing well with your consulting / business.
  20. welcome aboard Dave... most of us here lusted after these cars for years for one reason or another before finally taking the plunge. Looking forward to meeting you at one of the events.
  21. It's 23 degrees here
  22. well, if you do the cycle conversion, the vinyl will cover the holes too. LOL Are there hot areas where the body is near the exhaust that you need to worry about?
  23. I can see the case for bailout assistance for GM, Chrysler, and some of the banking giants. It goes against basic principles of free market, but these were / are companies with enormous impact on the economy at a particularly fragile period. Here is an interesting one: http://hellforleathermagazine.com/2010/12/harley%E2%80%99s-secret-2-3-billion-taxpayer-bailout/ What could possibly be the justification for saving HD by investing $2.3B in it? Clearly it's not a company that meets the "too big to fail" test, nor do they produce anything vital to our national security. Amazing.
