    FDA help

I don't know if I'm man enough to ride with Kevin
  6. got a windshield on, but no wipers. Clearly it's not loud enough to scare the bugs
  7. hmmm. a guy in sterling? was it a bike engined car? If so, I have seen his car (when he was still building it). He actually put my car on the scales at a shop out there. I do not recall his name though. If that's him it's great that his car is on the road.
  8. You might as well see if you can sched with Michael D since he is on the right side of the river with me
  9. heh, Sunday is better for me than saturday - only if the weather is good. what did you ride?
  10. I wanna see what the chair does when he hits the wall at 130
  11. well, talk to andrew7, and jeff (somebody help me with Jeff's forum handle. i can't remember). Both did scratch build BEC. You should really at least go for a ride in one (really more than one kind of seven) before you choose your path.
  12. Finally hopped in the car and went nowhere in particular for 20 miles. That was FUN. For the past few months I had been hampered by starting problems. I chalked it up to a bad battery or starter. Finally looked at it today and found the main ground connection was loose. 5 min later fired it right up and went on down the road. It had been a while, so putting my foot into it was a bit of a rush. And man, bugs are out in full force already.
  13. there are a few one off hand builts around here, so you won't be out of place.
  14.
  15. That's how the site was when I started it. Had a section for Cat, Westies, Birkins, Ultralite, Stalker, Rotus, etc... Ran it that way for a while. There simply aren't enough sevens to support that structure. You end up with a bunch of sections with MUCH less traffic than what we have in the tech section today. So I consolidated them all - later on, I had a few requests for a bike engined section, so I created it. When the demand is there, I will change the structure. Also, among Birkin, Westies and Cats (majority of the sevens), their commonality is as much based on their drivetrain choice, than brand.
  16. An efficiency expert concluded his lecture with a note of caution. "You don't want to try these techniques at home." "Why not?" asked somebody from the audience. "I watched my wife's routine at breakfast for years," the expert explained. "She made lots of trips between the refrigerator, stove, table and cabinets, often carrying a single item at a time. One day I told her, 'Hon, why don't you try carrying several things at once?'" "Did it save time?" the person in the audience asked. "Actually, yes," replied the expert. "Previously, it would take her 20 minutes to make breakfast. Now I do it in seven."
  17. BTW, if you can't get rivets from Cat USA, you can try Fastenal or McMaster.
  18. not having seen how the cats were laid out, I stayed on the safe side and put two 1" square tubes under the front and back of my seat. I suppose that explains why all the little scales run away when they see my car coming.
  19. 1. This site is whatever the members make it. If you want a technical discussion, start a technical thread. If nobody here can help you, posting your question here does not prevent you from posting it on some other site with really smart people. 2. Since we're in this thread, you obviously know you can keep the $25 in your pocket and talk about other things here. 3. Whatever you do, make sure you don't register under multiple emails and post stuff here. Saying that, just in case it becomes an issue.
  20. no, it's real. apparently he has Hep C, but damn, how can he continue to serve... oh wait, he replaced Cynthia McKinney - another piece of work. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20001567-503544.html http://blog.newsweek.com/blogs/thehumancondition/archive/2010/04/02/hank-johnson-guam-and-hepatitis-c-us-rep-suffers-from-too-common-illness.aspx

  22. I have a system with a vid transmitter, GPS and telemetry, but it's a little too heavy for the plane i'm currently playing with - and a little too expensive to fly over water if I have an accident. I'm planning to get Frankn7 out tomorrow... totally lacking on quality time with her.
  23. a short footage from the beach... after this landing, i think some sand flew in my motor, even though it was shut off when I touched down during flight you can already hear some bad noises from the motor, so maybe the bearings were already going??? anyway, I ordered 1 more of these cameras - this one is from a hong kong supplier and comes with 2gig Sandisk microSD card - we'll see how it performs when I get it.
  24. Lol
  25. Thanks for sharing. Looks like a nice group of folks to go down a few beers with too
