Lol no idea. Lot of factors. What model, what options, shipping, exchange rate. I think between about $50-70k is a safe bet. Others can please chime in. My car, factory built add a lil, CSR model add a bit, sequential add a bit, paint and other tidbits, add a bit, etc. But if my wife or her lawyers ask, my car was $12,995 plus tax out the door lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@Alex-Ks1 Lol not sure how ready to roll it is at the moment, as I'm barely clinging to the hope that I'll see it in my natural lifetime. But yeah, CSRs are factory built, and when it gets to me it will be a complete roller, waiting for engine and transmission (which'll arrive with the roller).

So, tell us a little about yourselves

If I ever get a car from Caterham, I'll be all over the BRP... I might come anyway, in a loping old Toyota lol. -
Update without saying much: My car has returned from being re-skinned and is headed to paint (again) and final assembly (again). All I can do is lol. I'll be very happy to have my lil machine. Eventually. Ish. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They disclosed. Via my broker. I don’t wanna say too much but it’s a seemingly small error that requires a big fix. They’re trying to make it right. I think. I haven’t had a firm plan to fix or implement imparted to me, nor an exact time frame. I did get a nice a call from the CEO Bob. He did say they were very sorry. He’s a very nice, very astute and talented car guy. Unfortunately he does not have a Time Machine. I guess these are the things one should expect when buying a very bespoke race car toy from Jolly Old England. I believe they will make it right and I will get a beautiful, fast, unique car. It’s just become clear that due to lots of things I won’t get it in anything close to the timeframe first laid out. Again, I’m fully aware real people have real problems but also this isn’t a shortage, or anything like, it's an build error, so it’s ADDITIONAL added time waiting. I'll tell you all about it once it's fixed and the car is in my grubby lil hands. I'm still very excited for my eventual 7. What are you gonna do, cancel the order and buy a Corvette? Hardly. I'm not ready for adult diapers yet. Lol. (Apologize to Corvette folks! Inside joke)

Lil kinda ugly update: Last Friday Broker Bruce called. There's a *big thing* wrong with my car I've ordered. It went to final assembly and QA and seemed so close to getting put on a ship and heading in my general direction. It is estimated it will add 4-5 weeks to the time at the factory. I'm very, very not happy about this, and in all candidness had it been noticed during the 3+ months wait for a differential, it would have been easily remedied with no ADDED delay. Mistakes happen, I make plenty, but I wish this one had been caught while my car was sitting so long... You all may or may not remember that I *doubled* my initial budget to get a factory built car (week 8) faster than a kit (week 27). My wife the mathematician certainly remembers lol. I'm currently waiting with the standard radio silence on what's going on. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The other delays I was a lil meh about, cause parts delays/pandemic/etc. And also not having this toy car is not a REAL problem, and very real people have very real problems and at every turn once said I know Caterham are working very hard. But, this is an error that, like I said, could have easily been remedied in that wait time, had it just been caught. Or better yet, not made at all... But also this car has already cost more than my first home... Waiting to see how it is ultimately handled. They've been nice about it, but now big radio silence. Big question is when/if I will get this car. I now think I may get my 2022 CSR in 2023... Thank you for coming to my (extended) pity party. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Lol nooooooooo. hahahaha

lol lil update. Final assembly, drivetrain sitting in front of my car. I think it’s awfully close to shipping out. Dunno. Then… (pic from a buddy on the internet, a fellow 7-er)

Yeah the One is “for her”, but I’m quite excited about it as well. I like the look of it and the functionality of a medium SUV works very well for us. Hard to pack up a whole family, 2 dogs and all our gear for a beach week in a 7!
-
lol no idea. Whatever Caterham and Bruce put on the paperwork. I know it comes with an MSO (manufacturers statement of origin). After that the paperwork is kinda a mystery to me.

Lol we are currently having two massive sets of french doors installed... So she's winning. AND getting a Fisker Ocean Launch Edition. Just for her. Wink wink. Lol. Honestly tho, if she gets it before I get my 7 AND it is faster, I'm filing for divorce. My only saving grace is that I'm on the east coast, so I'm hoping shipping costs and travel time will be a lil less than average, whatever average is these days.

Lil update, as of Wednesday July 13th my car has changed status from "shortages" to "final assembly". I also happen to know the motor and transmission are both sitting right in front of my car ready to be boxed up... Bad news is my shipping estimate is double what it was at time of order. I guess that's to be expected these days. If you go to the grocery store and want more than one pack of Oreos you basically have to refinance your home. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Either way, forward motion and I'm inching closer to being in the drivers' seat of my 7, or rather, my drivers' seat is inching closer to me!

Lol iron butt! I had an update just a while ago. My car is being built bit is still currently waiting on a Sierra diff at the factory. Not really sure when I'll get it, but I'm thinking it's coming just in time to pack away for winter. Next spring, though... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Registering a new Caterham in North Carolina
UglyFast replied to fotsyr's topic in General Sevens Discussion
Good for you. That sounds positively delightful compared to some state processes. Here's hoping SC is this easy breezy soon. -
Linville Falls/Linville Gorge can confirm. Beautiful roads. Almost empty at times. Happy to join if I ever, ever get my 7.... Live in the Upstate of SC.

Heck YEAHHHH

"Build" update: no real update, other than was officially informed today my car has been delayed a few days/weeks/years due to supply and shipping and just the whole world generally being in a tizzy right now. I KNOW they're working hard at the factory. I know it. I see progress on my car and others. I normally ain't much of a complainer and I KNOW there are real people everywhere with Very Real Problems, and this ain't even close to a real problem. I'm just being a baby at the moment and whaaa whaaa whaaa I want my toy car lol. Thank you all for coming to my pity party. /End rant

VVV cool

So tiny update time, admittedly not much of one. Car *had* been waiting on a Sierra diff but I think that is also finally sorted out. I feel like I'm about 2 months from being in the drivers seat (but I thought that 2 months ago as well so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯...). It is definitely getting closer and closer. For fun here's a nice detail pic I just got, which has me salivating. With this sliding Caterham (pandemic) timeline I need a Time Lord on deck to read the tea leaves vis a vis shipping/customs/etc. Thankfully I have Bruce Beachman @BruceBe leading the charge. Either way, I'm getting more excited than I should be to have spent TOO much money on a toy car with NO frills at all, but I am AMPED!

Oh most definitely @Austin David Thanks much.
