Hmm....a different kind of BE7?
twnpipe replied to pureadrenalin's topic in General Sevens Discussion
It is so hard to decide which way to go. My favorite bike is the BMW Boxer Cup Replica for visual, sound appeal ( with open pipes) and I see the latest version is 180 + hp. German quality where it took 15 k miles to break in (like leather shoes). I would just walk out to garage to gaze at it. Deciding now to repower my car with turbo miata or Hayabusa but so many thoughts, probably not decided till I put the cash down. -
Ending up buying a G Force helmet, it fits the same and same size as my motorcycle helmet. Not nearly the chin protection though! Oh yeah I'm not falling off a bike. With age comes cages is true in this case.

This is a very nice car and also the owner is generous with his experiences and I expect with his support once a buyer is found. That also should be considered as included value to any sale.

California brake and light inspection.

Congrat's on getting "legal". When you are ready drive and we can meet at Big Sur, or Cambria, Hwy 1, the best roads I've found till the RV's get moving later in the morning. You may want to check your wheel nuts again though. by the way my blinkers stopped working a week after inspection and i'd rather drive the car than take the time to fix them. My son just got a job in Palo Alto so I may head your way next month also. Ingmar -
Don't know the weight yet. What is the easiest ways to find out? 7's weighed dry and without driver I assume?

Martin Sounds like the Porsche club has its act together. I'm part of a crew making 600 tri tip sandwiches tomorrow for a benefit tomorrow. If you make it up this way please give me a call and I'll take you to lunch at Jocko's in Nipomo. Ingmar

With a little experience in motorcycle helmets, I know that a Shoei L fits me well but looks like I have to buy my car helmet mailorder. Thinking of one of the basic Bell's. Do I have to buy two sizes and ship one back? I have 2 weeks to get one. Any help is appreciated.

Justin Look forward to meeting you and your car, perhaps I can be allowed to move up and tail you for abit. I signed up as a novice- all my fun car driving was in the past. I think i'll sit out the first 5 minutes and check out the other drivers on the first session. Ingmar - i'll pm my phone # to you.

I did get the 7 street legal in January but still working on the car, lots to finish. I need to build wider rear fenders (14") to cover tires for NASA events. This weekend I have to barbecue at an event then we have a party for my older son as he moves out of town to start a "real" job, after college. Camarillo airport ? is a great spot, I was not aware they were running again there.

Just mounted my set thanks for the referral. Shipping was fast and local dealers could not believe price. No problem gettin them mounted locally, everyone is just glad for the work. Tires feel good on the street and I'll find out on the track in a couple weeks.

I have been wanting to run my car in but missed two autocross's locally. Last night I signed up with Speed Ventures for May 1st at Streets of Willow, they also run on Sunday. Can anyone else make it? I ran the track with my supermoto and Bmw sport motorcycle and found Streets is lower speed and tighter than most tracks, so looks ideal for 7's. $ 140 sounded ok for a day at the track as it was $ 75 for the Porsche autocross. Hope someone else can make it. Anyone else run with Speed Ventures?

This is a Magnaflow 18 x 9.5 inch box with 2.5 in and out and turned out very quite. Next size up box was twice the weight but I didn't weigh this before bolting on with lock nuts.

My inspector did require vent connected to intake. I answered yes sir it is a 1959 lotus replica. He allowed me to drive the 10 minutes to town and install and come back and he signed me off. OOH what a relief then only 2 hrs wait at DMV. actually i went to lunch for an hour of that 2 hr. -
Great information, I need to go 14 inch wide to cover my existing setup. I'll shop for a shrinker once I understand how that works. Is this a Harbor Freight item or ? thank you

Excellent report, look forward to getting my license plates this week. -
If you are stopping anywhere for a meal near Pismo Beach, San Luis Obispo or Jocko's Steak house in Nipomo I'd ask to join you. I don't have the car reassembled yet so in name only. Lived in this area for awhile and very willing to help out the tour in any way. SLOmove we met at Laguna Historic's but i didn't have a car yet. Ingmar
