  1. Very interesting. This windshield mount? https://www.kamispeed.com/products/zoom-engineering-rear-view-mirror-mounting-h-03-arm-universal?currency=USD&variant=13836972818476&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Google+Shopping&stkn=36ba5cd1209e&srsltid=AfmBOoqaONPWbeL85KM0FLzzx4kfz6DAu4Vu5prA5g_xd_ZkoEo4t6DRHMo&com_cvv=8fb3d522dc163aeadb66e08cd7450cbbdddc64c6cf2e8891f6d48747c6d56d2c
  2. Our track Elise. The little mirror let’s me know just how close someone is for a point by while the panoamic side mirrors let me know what’s around. I’m game for a larger one in the Seven https://www.inokinetic.com/eliseexige/micromirror?category=Interior/Safety
  3. I can see very well with the side mirrors, just want to replace the “less than optimal” oem interior mirror. It’s just plain dull and cloudy with some plastic film is still over it compared to the SPA opticals. And it just looks racier. Yes I checked for a film over it 😊
  4. Yes it does. I have their side mirrors and the optics are quite good. Anyone know of hardware to mount this to a full flat windscreen?
  5. Anyone know who makes the mirror on Uglyfast’s CSR? I’d like to have same mirror but mountable to a full windscreen.
  6. Sunnier shot. This site “dumbs down” the image a lot (I understand) but in real life it has an agreeable shine that complements the harness set up. Uglyfast came up from Greenville today and we took his fancy CSR up on the Parkway a bit, dodging rain.
  7. Changed the bonnet stripes from the nice looking fake carbon to something a little happier perhaps. Changed the two grill pieces around just to see what it’s like. Sure makes the 7 pop, maybe too much.
  8. Yes it is. Once snow is cleared from track you’re good to go. Have to confess having a big off resulting in a ccw spin at South Bend. In the Elise on newly repaved but not yet repainted track. Foot to the floor all the way up rhe climbing esses at about a buck and a quarter and tried taking Southbend too fast. Problem was with sidelines changed and not repainted I got lost went too deep and pinched it resulting in an unrecoverable tank slapper. Was laughing out loud when we just did one revolution on the snow covered steepish bank but stayed on the wheels and were rolling nicely. Just damage to the front clam and reputation. New clam but the first time 😊 Some of us used to rent VIR for a Lotus day.
  9. And oh yes, the idea of keeping this car a while is sure there. This is a slow process. I have never stood in my garage and stared at any car half as long as this one. Except maybe the track Elise. Mom wondered of I’d ever be able to let go of this one.
  10. Interesting question. Probably been asked to everyone on here if only by a concerned family member 😊 Well, my son is the fourth generation in our family to make a habit of buying and selling cars. My Dad the Dodge, Plymouth & Chrysler desler in our town. My son about to get his dealer license, has been buying sorting amd selling Mustangs this past year. 7 or 8 of them I believe, one on BAT right now. I’ve never made my living selling cars but have learned that any new purchase should have the accompanying plan for how we get out. Over the years that’s led to some really good shared experiences. Heck, Dad sold Hemi Cudas and Superbirds new. But to really answer this question, I mean everything is for sale. My plan has been to sell next year after doing some more sorting and oh yeah, driving. Not even to the 500 mile mark to open her up. Embarrassed to admit. In the midst of restriping. Have a track bar I might powder coat to match the stripe.
  11. I think is point is that if you did want to do business with Caterham for a new kit it is about impossible.
  12. In order: “The little car” ”The Seven” ”The Kay-trum”
  13. When folks ask “How fast?” I point out that her garage mate is a track prepped supercharged Elise. Over 100 track days. 131 top ever and it did not feel fast. Often a buck and a quarter down through turn 12 at Road Atlanta. Good fun. The Seven is scary to sane folks at 35 mph. I have no way to ever know how fast but on paper should beat the Elise in lap times. The Elise dynoed 225/ton But, I’ve only been to 80 once in the Seven and it felt GOOD.
  14. If you get some I’ll show you the four hand tools you need to carry to adjust them. It’s very easy to bump into them and loosen something.
  15. Josh at Rocky Mountain Caterham supplied them.
  16. Is this what you are thinking?
  17. We were holding breath to see how the tires worked out. I have ‘new’ but aged Avons.
  18. For the general public, “This is a reproduction of a Lotus race car from the time I was born” (I’m 70) For friends and family “The Little Car” of just “the Seven”
  19. This is one of my first Sevens. Not sure when it was originally assembled but has gathered dust and lost bits over decades. Somehow I was moved this year to bring her back to glory, albeit showing a patina only time can produce. Turns out parts for these are available individually per ebay.
  20. I figured you had driven to Australia
  21. Yep that’s it, Montrose. Knew a fellow who had a wrap of his car on the sides.
  22. Anyone have one of those cool clam like deals that opens forward?
  23. Tamsulosin?
