  1. Goes well with my Green 7? http://www.enfieldmotorcycles.ca/green-with-silver-stripe/?id=747
  2. Used earplugs today on the windy roads, worked great. Added a helmet for the 1 hour 80mph freeway cruise home. Really helped me get back home safe.
  3. I like this one. The owner was a nice guy and relished the weird coolness that comes with owning a "screaming chicken". It was a very cool retro car. A LOWBROW time piece. My son had a big grin while sitting in the black velour back seat when the owner stomped on the go pedal (454 big block fun).
  4. Can your buddy hook me up? Its a lot of complex curves, would I be better to paint it?
  5. OK, just got back from my first major drive (250 miles) in the Caterham Super Seven and I'd like to lay out a justification for why the Super Seven is the greatest driver car ever: #1 - Performance (as defined by the impact on the human brain). Driving a 7 is total automotive sensory integration. The engine sucks in one ear and blows out the other. A crossflow at full throttle is auditory bliss! The wind in your face and chest connects you with the car as you and car together push thru the air as one. The view down the hood is truly evocative. The reflection of yourself and the car in the headlamps and the long hood reaching out to the horizon is classic sports car at its best. The closeness of the mechanics. The differential buzzing behind your butt, the hot engine warming your thigh and the steering wheel nudging you on. As a car, nothing else connects you to the driving experience. #2 - Handling. I'm only starting to tip toe into this one, but I know it will exceed my expectations. The combination of incredible lightness and excellent suspension is certainly confidence inspiring. I felt comfortable today ripping down country roads at 80mph. Only a solid chassis would give me that confidence #3 - Social experience. I come from the Porsche camp and I always felt like I had something to apologize for. Today, I had 6 or 8 total strangers come and approach me, all from different walks of life. I had at least 15 folks in cars try to take a photo of me with their iPhone. The 7 transcends social barriers. It just looks like so much fun that people want to stop and ask about the car. #4 - Value. Nothing will deliver the smiles per mile at even 1/3rd the price. I will happily debate with anyone who can tell me any car that can deliver the experience I just had today. Against all measures, I feel totally vindicated in my decision to get a 7. It is the greatest driver car ever. This is just day one....what will I think after I've made some tasty modifications?
  6. What are you filling your clamshell bolt holes with?

  11. This car is everything I've been dreaming of and more. The pics are here: http://usa7s.com/vb/showthread.php?t=5252&page=2 We need more Ontario owners!
  12. Took all the jealous neighbors for a ride and managd a nice tail out oversteer. I am in love with this car! Bought it for $23,500 CDN which is about on par with the USD
  13. Maybe its normal, but there are light puffs of smoke coming up from the base of the engine where the crank case breather hose is. Its more prevalent asround start up. Is that just the nature of a these engines? The car only has 24000 miles and the exhaust is not smoking. Perhaps its just running a bit too rich?
  14. 4 point for both you and passengers? MAybe my belts are crap, but the adjustment for the lap part is right down next to the bolt behind the seat and is a total pig to get at.
  15. Hi guys My car has 4 point racing belts Hip belts are brutal to adjust due to the at floor buckle adjustment I got the driver done I will have all sizes of passengers (I've got lots of neighbors) do you guys have any recommended belts Key factors are safety and ease of adjustment Thanks
  16. almost there. The mechanic who detuned it did not retune it properly so I could not take delivery. She was backfiring like an SOB Hopefully she will be ready tomorrow. I guess I may be in the market for a Cat converter after all so I'm ready in 2 years for the e.test.
