These guys imported my last Porsche. Great folks. There will be losts of exotics there. Should be some great eye candy and a fun chance to show off the Se7en. In celebration of our move to our new 25,000 Square Foot storage facility and transport hub we are throwing a little party. We would like to extend an invitation to the rennlist forum membership. Location is at TFX International 11 Cityview Dr in Etobicoke. Main intersection is HWY 27 and Dixon Rd. We will have music, food and drinks. 1pm to 7pm. Bring your cars. There will be a pretty wide selection of vehicles here and we will be encouraging all of our clients to bring their toys including Cars, Bikes, Race boats, etc. We will have everything from F1 Race cars, to Mopars, Vettes, Ferraris, Porsches, etc. Should be a fun day. Please RSVP to adam@tfxinternational.com or just show up. We are hoping to have some pretty serious hardware on display. Already have several INDY/CHAMP CAR/F1 open wheel racers that will be here including Paul Tracy's, Villeneuve, Carpentier, Goodyear, Moore, etc. Vintage Top fuel dragsters, Packards, Cords, Ferrari, Bentley, Corvette, Mopar, you name it it will probably be here. Feel free to invite your 'car people' friends, tell them to bring their cars! We are open to anything, all makes and manufacturers.

Will be there for sure. I just joined the Lotus Canada Club and hope to meet some of the members there. This is a must go every year.

Its was a great night. The car is more comfortable than she imagined and she got a real kick out of all the attention the car gets. Cheers

OK...no dirty comments! Its our wedding anniversary and we finally tracked down some baby sitting. I'm driving her downtown to a nice dinner. Strapping her into the 4 point harness should be an interesting start to date night. I'm really hoping she enjoys all the attention the car receives and also that she connects with the fun and freedom of a truly raw driving experience. I will try not to scare the crap out of her, but I'm going to have to drop the hammer once or twice after she has settled in a bit.

Its a terrific event and a great chance to bask in the glory of old english sports cars. On the bizzare side, last year there were about 8 or 10 DeLoreans there last year http://www.torontotriumph.com/BCD/ British Car Day is hosted by the Toronto Triumph Club, annually on the third Sunday of September. Since its inaugural event in 1984, it has grown in leaps and bounds, and now draws around 1000 British cars, with room to grow even bigger. The event is the premier all-British car event in North America, with visitors from throughout the northeast United States, the Maritime provinces, Quebec, and Manitoba. We have even had visitors from Alberta, Texas, the U.K., and New Zealand. The venue for British Car Day is Bronte Creek Provincial Park, about 20 miles west of downtown Toronto, conveniently located at the Burloak Drive exit of the Queen Elizabeth Way. The south entrance is for non-British cars, while the north entrance is reserved for British car exhibitors. Every year one of the most popular destinations of the park is the Vendors' area. Annually, over 50 British-related vendors offer their new and used goods for sale, including car parts, whole cars, t-shirts, hats, tools, books, supplies, and on and on. Many vendors offer end-of-season specials so there are lots of bargains. The gates open at 10:00 AM and participant judging begins in earnest. The judging wraps up around 1:30 and the awards ceremony begins about 3:00 PM. In 2006, there were well over 1000 vehicles, in 49 classes of cars, buses, and motorcycles, running the whole range from Minis to Rolls Royce, from Austins to Zephyrs, and everything in between. Many people bring their daily drivers, or projects-in-progress, just to line up with the many concourse-class cars in their class. This is the opportunity everyone looks forward to, to chat, to scrutinize, and plan for next year.

Fantastic news. Congrats to both seller and buyer

An awesome request, but on the insane side.

I love the dealers description. It makes me yearn for a drivetrain upgrade: I am bruised and aching. My ears are ringing. I've used up all my adrenalin and when I go to haul myself out of the car I find I'm as wobbly as a newborn giraffe. My scalp is tingling, my eyes are stiff. My face has been wearing a type of grin induced by a mixture of fear and exhilaration. I've been driving our Caterham R400. The R400 was absolutely mind-blowingly stupidly good. Under load the rev happy engine fairly tears the air apart as it fires you forward with such angry potency. You think you're accelerating fiercely, then you discover the throttle's only half way down. Press it all the way and all hell breaks loose. Suddenly you're ripping down the road, the torque whipping up those big rear boots while you lever the gearchanges back and forth, as rapidly as you can, up through the six tightly stacked gears. Waaarp - waaarp - waaaaaaarp. With each new slug of power you feel the rear of the car going light, and when it starts to snake in fourth at 70mph-plus you know what 400bhp per ton really means. When you come back down to normal road speeds the R400 feels unhappy, you can almost sense the car tut-tutting and rolling its eyes, but when you let it loose again it all just works. The suspension, those front wheels bobbing around in full view, is firm but never seems to get seriously unsettled and the trade-off is the most absurdly high steady-state cornering speeds. It is a very physical experience - the whole car pulses to the engine's industrial metal beat. With shortarm jabs at the tiny, chubby-rimmed wheel and the alloy gearknob, barely protruding from the centre tunnel so short is the lever, you batter journeys into submission. It's full-on, just about as big a hit as it's possible to get in a road car. -
How do the Spa Convex mirrors attach to the stanchions? Do you have to drill holes in the stanchion?
-
thanks - there are lots of great pics on your link, so I have a very good perspective. Thanks SCANNON. Now I just have to put in an order. I think I'm going to remove all the other mirrors on the car assuming I'm comfortable with the blind spot coverage
-
Can some folks post pictures of their cars with the MFS mirror installed? There are some shots on the MFS site, but I'd like to see some more angles to see how it integrates into the overall look of the cockpit. Thanks

what is the engine spec?
-
Yes, eyelids are gone. 1st thing I did when I got the car. Other changes were the removal of the huge sticker on the hood (British sportscar club of Japan) I'm also thinking of removing the yellow "7" badges from the sides of the engine hood and looking for smaller side mirrors that attach to the windshield frame. I find the current mirrors ugly and all they show is the rear fender.

Went for a blat, dropped by a friend who is rather large, managed to stuff him into the passenger seat for a quick spin around the neighborhood. Created another 7 fanatic!

I'm thinking of replacing some bushings in the front suspension. Do I need a spring compressor to deal with compressing the front spring/shocks in order to get the old bushings out and the new ones in? Is this a job best left to a mechanic with the tools?
-
Drool!

I'd like to refresh my bushings in my front suspension. In particular the top shock bushing is shot and the bottom trunnion bushing is also shot. I can find the trunnion set: https://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=144_148&products_id=4544&osCsid=463f8499f849ef77ac4b20496dfc12de But which of these do you think is the top shock bushing where it mates to the top wishbone? #1: https://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=144_148&products_id=1472&osCsid=463f8499f849ef77ac4b20496dfc12de #2: https://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=144_148&products_id=2119&osCsid=463f8499f849ef77ac4b20496dfc12de

Posted: http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/rennlist-canada/588409-saturday-gtg-group-an-ontario-super-7-for-sale.html Glad to help. I got a lot of interest when I took the car to my old Porsche get together. Good luck in your sale. I'm sure you will find a buyer quickly.

will post on a local Ontario Porsche forums on your behalf if you like (rennlist Canada). They really like my Caterham. Let me know if you want me to

I must have missed some of the posts, but what is the transmission and rear end (diff and axle set up) of your car?
-
Calabogie is the best!

No, just squeeling/chirping. It is coating my wheels with brake dust.
