  1. Please update the registration list noteing those who have paid up. This will give a better understanding of who will be there.
  2. I am interested. We will be towing and meeting at I-64/I-81 would be good for us. Dean
  3. I took a quick look at the Evolution site http://autocross.com/evolution/modules/news/ and they are having a Just In Time school for our purposes: June 24,25 2007 Virgina Beach, VA, Phase 1- Phase 2 Greg Smith 757-463-2793 mr.beachcomber@juno.com I have worked the Phase 1 & 2 schools and taken the Phase 1 school. The school was fun and I learned some things. It's nice to be able to ask specific questions of someone who wants to help and is knowledgeable. Lots of track time (as auto-x goes). If you have an extremely low car check with Greg (He is the SCCA contact for the school who is both knowledgeable and a good guy. Even though he drives corvettes he appreciates 7’s) about the condition of the facility. A few years ago an extremely low set 7 went off course took out its oil pan at the Evolution school held in Pungo. Sign up early. These events get sold out. I was late signing up once and was shut out. Send me a private email if you like.
  4. Auto-X schools. I don't think there is much going on in Richmond however the Southside (Virginia Beach and South to the NC border) have a few schools each year. The SCCA traditionally has one informal auto-X school and a 1-2 day Evolution school every spring. These are held at the old airfield in beautiful downtown Pungo. About 2-3 hours from Richmond.
  5. A bit late on the post, I thought I had answered but it appears that I didn't. Dean in Newport News Lotus 7S1 Calvin are you the auto-X guy who used to own the real Cobra and had an X-wife that worked at the shipyard?
  6. Finally made our reservation at the Fontana Village Resort. Dean
  7. Steve in Williamsburg I just wanted to say hello from http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/blush5.gifffice:smarttags" />Newport News.
  8. A modest proposal - It might be a good idea to hold an informal information sharing and planning session for the 7/7/7 event at LOG. There will certainly be a bunch of 7ish cars in attendance (at least it always seems there too many nice cars to pick from when voting at the concours) and even more 7 enthusiasts/owners.
  9. I am located in Newport News, VA. The 7 is not quite photogenic yet, although nose is getting shiny as I find I polish it when I want to work on the car and can’t think of anything more productive to do. At the moment the 7 needs a bunch of work before it will be safe to drive. I did get my Lotus fix by taking a spin in our M100.
  10. Al; Please stop with the ugly comments about other groups. The world of Lotus is too small without further Balkanization of the community. The board of Lotus Ltd has already had a brief discussion about the 7/7/7 event. We as a club are trying to find ways support more and better events. I personally believe that local Lotus Ltd affiliated clubs should try to do more and the national organization should try and help them. As an aside, one Lotus Ltd. board member is already planning to attend the event and another (that would be me) would like to attend provided I have a running Seven and can afford the time and treasure necessary.
