  1. So tell us a little about the car.
  2. How about a part number. I like to polish the car when I get good results. The first polish took me days. Maybe 20 hours on the nose alone. I can't seem to get the haze out of the finish. It's driving me nuts.
  3. Took the Seven out for a shake down cruise. It seemed odd but the hot rod (think T-bucket and 32 Ford) guys always waved. Normally they don't seem to acknowledge English sports cars.

    LOG 29

There will be more than a few people going to the Tail of the Dragon after LOG. The coordination appears to be centered on LotusTalk http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f220/tail-dragon-after-log-29-june-1-2-a-71601/

    Pirate facts

When the English took the head Edward Teach (Blackbeard) it was proudly displayed at Hampton point in Virginia. It always seemed odd to sail by that spot. A historical footnote, Blackbeard was protected by the Governor of North Carolina. Odd how the pirate business hasn't changed all that much.
  6. My right foot is dummer that a rock. I only listen to advise from my left foot.

Our series 1 doesn't seem to have had much of an interior. I covered the dash with red vinyl that matches the seats. I don't see any evidence of any other interior trim. At one time Keith sold lamiplate. Give him a call he is a good guy and a Lotus nut. Look at the site http://www.log29.com/ for forms... some of the information is buried in prose but it is there. "We will check your helmet (auto or motorcycle ok but must be a 95 or later)" Email the coordinator with specific questions.

Our current plans are to leave LOG on Tuesday morning and head to either Tapco Lodge or Fontana Village. Anyone else interested? A small group is forming. http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f220/tail-dragon-after-log-29-june-1-2-a-71601/
  12. Usually my wife can't get out of a Se7en by herself. Her shoulders don't allow her to get the initial lift. At the tail of the dragon I looked up and she had two guys lifting her out of the Nissan engined Se7en after the owner had been nice enough to give her a ride. She once got trapped in a Lotus Esprit after getting ride around Road Atlanta. In that case the door latch mechanism failed. I notice a difference now that I gained back the 30 pounds I had lost.

  15. solder_guy; I expect that you will have a nice system. I have similar had Lucas wipers on 2 cars and the secrets are: fresh grease, clean electrical connections and a straight tube. It looks like you will have all three. When I had problems with my 77 MGB daily driver they were either caused by the above or the arm disengaging from the splines. Odd how 20 year old grease and electrical connections can cause problems.

    Driving roads

I have had reasonably good luck with http://www.byways.org/ I see an interesting road near this year's LOG http://www.byways.org/explore/byways/2057/travel.html
  17. That's the weight of two Se7ens! Are you packing a spare car? Did someone convince you to use those high tech lead filled frame tubes? Inquiring minds want to know.
  18. Dam you WireWheel.com!!! Always such interesting cars. I need to hit the lottery.
  19. Congradulations your car may have plates but my dog has fleas.

Are there any updates concerning the USA7s events?
  21. Very nice, I've been lusting after this car for a while. The trouble is there are too many lust worthy cars for sale and I have too little money.

The best seats get reserved quickly. If you want a Se7ens table get a list of names for those who want to sit together then have someone get to registration as early as possible and sign up for a table. All the Lotus Ltd board members will be assigned to a table in an attempt to get us meet new people. So my seat at the banquette is up to the LOG organizers
  25. For me, watching the front suspension and wheels move is a great part of the fun of a Se7en. It helps me dream of F1 in the 60s.
