  1. Unveiling of the E10S today
  2. I will take that one step farther. I used to compete on RA1s..quite well. I would save a set that were almost ready to show cord, because they were the fastest. R888s. A good tire indeed, but they lose grip over the heat cycles/age and become at the end horrible.
  3. Tomorrow (Thursday) the E10S will debut at AutoSport in Birmingham UK. I have seen photos I am not allowed to share yet... that shows the improvements and tweaks and the final windscreen and mirror placements. Louvers are added to the back engine bay cover. The interior has been made much nicer. All very exciting.
  4. Update. We have already sold over what we anticipated for 2015. We have asked and been granted more cars. The Zenos E10 will be the featured car in the Michelin booth at the Detroit International Auto Show (NAIAS) this January. I will be there during press and trade preview days. If you are there during those days, stop by. If you are there during public days, check it out.
  5. I have shipped crates a number of times, sometimes using uship.com to find someone. If you can get someone that has space available and is mostly making the same route anyway, they may offer you a good deal. My one bit of advice, is be aware that many people (or most) that will contact you, or you will find on a google search, are not the actual shippers. They may appear to be. But there is a large part of this business that are brokers arranging the deals between you and a freight company or independent trucker. Nothing wrong with that, but it helps to be aware of it. I would expect to spend maybe $600-700 to ship the crate a good distance. If you need a liftgate, make sure it is specified. If there is a problem with a 70 foot semi doing the picking up or dropping off, let the people know. Some companies will transfer the crate at their facility to a smaller truck for a small fee of about $150.
  6. If my Zenos is here by whatever the date is, I would attend if you guys don't mind a Zenos being part of the group.
  7. I wish, just the timing did not work out. Maybe next year. The show car is being shipped to the USA, the boat left on Sunday (yesterday). The car will be at PRI in Indianapolis next month, and at the Detroit North American International Auto Show in January. Pic... car being loaded for transport to USA

  13. All the brackets are/were made from hard anodized aluminum with stainless steel inserts on the license bracket.
  14. These are the reverse and fog light brackets. They use the angle bracket to the sides of the gas tank and suspend the lights below the body. Ground clearance is not an issue, the lights are higher than other stuff back there. They are either right or left. Mirror images. Once they sell out, I am done making these and someone else can make them. I find I much rather mount the lights like this, than to the body and drill holes through the skin. They are angled to use the wedge rubber mounts that Caterham supplies New, I sell these for $20 each. http://usa7s.com/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=7210&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1414715318
  15. This was the license plate brackets I designed- http://www.britishspeed.com/gallery3/var/resizes/Caterham-Build-R400/008-282487832.JPG?m=1336086877 http://www.britishspeed.com/gallery3/var/resizes/Caterham-Build-R400/010-574557380.JPG?m=1336086883 http://www.britishspeed.com/gallery3/var/resizes/Caterham-Build-R400/013-868302632.JPG?m=1336086890
  16. I went back into the black hole known as my garage. I found I still have new reverse and fog light brackets...maybe 5 sets. But I sold out of the license plate brackets. I really think someone else should make these. I would be happy to supply the drawings. The brackets used the bolts for the rear plate light and the bracket never touched the body paint. And it was laser cut into a British Flag....though once the plate was on, you could not see that. I still thought it was cool. I also found more things. I will list them.
  17. Got it. Have quite a few PMs to my surprise. I am doing purely in order of timer received. Working on it!
  18. Image of the brackets installed http://www.britishspeed.com/gallery3/var/resizes/Caterham-Build-SV-S3-170/019.JPG?m=1326849041
  19. Same car after repair. Looks perfect.
  20. Yes, these are used and slightly damaged (they were in the rear end crash). I originally made 20 sets of brackets, I still have around 5 sets that are new if you are interested. See attached image. There is an angle bracket with 3 holes on each side of the gas tank. This is what the brackets attach to. I myself hated the idea of drilling into the body for them...so I designed these. I also designed a very cool license plate mount for the Caterham. Almost out of those.
  21. I have been trying to get my garage organized and finding the odd parts I really do not need. Shipping costs are whatever they actually are. Feel free to ask. 22. Caterham sells the back section (right behind the firewall). It means the shop needs to cut off the rear, weld in the sides right above the wheel wells, and re-roll the aluminum around the frame tubing. We did this on the blue car and in the end, you could not see anything. It looked brand new.
  23. The street version of a Formula Ford is the BAC Mono, but it is north of $100K. Same chassis.
  24. Jay Leno has one in the garage. When Gordon Murray designed this, I wanted it a lot.
