  1. I have a beautiful set of very lightweight 10" wide rear fenders that I just removed from my Lotus 7 that I would like to sell. The width is realistically 9.75" to the inner lip. They were made by Motorsport Composites in Wisconsin and are basically perfect condition and have never been repaired. Aside from the mounting holes in the flanges, the only other holes are at the rear for a Wingard taillight setup. $300 for the pair plus shipping which is less than 1/2 the new price. (330) 807-0738 call/text or chima97@aol.com
  2. Couple of more pix to show the quality of the car, plus I neglected to mention that the paint is stunning and is as nice as you will find on an original Lotus 7 or replica. Also, EVERYTHING works as it should (mechanicals, electrics, gauges, etc). No stories, no excuses car.
  3. I did a ground up restoration on this car about 6 years ago and in my humble estimation it is as nice of an original Lotus 7 as exists in North America. The car belongs to a close friend of mine (Rob Shriver - he is also local here in Akron, OH) and he has enjoyed it for several years but he is in the process of moving, and therefore thinning his car collection. He is most definitely a car enthusiast but since I did the restoration and his knowledge of all things Lotus is somewhat limited he has asked me to post the car for sale for him. And for "full disclosure" the car has also been listed for the past couple of months on John Donohoe's simplesevens website with an asking price of $40,000 but there hasn't been much activity as a result of that ad (John concedes that traffic on his site is way down these days). We have also reached out to BAT and have initiated the listing process with them but there is a 2-3 week lead time before the listing goes live so I suggested to Rob that we place an ad here in the interim. BAT will only agree to a $31,000 reserve price and while that is less than what Rob would like for it (and far less than he has invested in the car) he is still moving forward with them. Accordingly, he has asked me to list the car here for the same $31,000 price, meaning that this is a great opportunity to get a superb S2 Lotus 7 at what I consider to be a great value without paying an additional 5% commission to BAT. Here are a few of the key details on the car and also a link to the simplesevens ad that likely will answer most of your questions: https://www.simplesevens.org/2078/2078.htm Frame off/skin off chassis restoration and powdercoat Rebuilt original 1500 pre-crossflow motor Rebuilt original 3 rail transmission Rebuilt original T-10 rear axle housing, a-frame, differential and brakes Rebuilt front suspension Spax adjustable shocks all around Gorgeous original interior/gauges Wonderfully detailed engine compartment and boot (trunk) Original soft top and side curtains in good useable condition Panasport wheels Jet Hot coated header/exhaust Please contact me with any questions or for additional details or pictures (we have a bunch as required by BAT but I have included at least one photo from all key angles in this ad). I will gladly provide Rob's contact information for those with genuine and significant interest in the car but please know that he is going to be FIRM at the $31,000 selling price. Please also know that I will not be involved in any aspects of the financial transaction. Thanks for looking and you can reach me via PM here, or email me at chima97@aol.com or call/text (330) 807-0738
  4. I have TWO of the highly desiraable 116E "GH" casting heads as used on 1500 Pre Crossflow Ford motors.. Both are bone stock and ready for porting, etc. The GH casting heads have the most material, are the most crack-resistant and can be milled and ported more aggressively than other castings. $300 each Craig Chima, CC Motorsports, Akron, OH. message me here or email chima97@aol.com or (330) 807-0738 call or text
  5. Henry, thanks for the inquiry but sorry they are on their way to Dave. Cheers, Craig
  6. Was doing some shop cleaning and found the shifter, bolt, bushings, and nylon block that are used on a "remote" housing on Ford 3 rail gearbox on original Lotus 7''s. This was obviously a replacement kit that I sourced at some point in time for a Lotus 7 restoration that never got used. The block and bushings are common "wear" items resulting in sloppy shift linkage and "feel." These parts are free providing you pay shipping (will likely fit in a small USPS flat rate box at under $10) so let me know if you can use. Craig Chima, CC Motorsports, (330) 807-0738 or chima97@aol.com
  7. Looking for a pair of narrow track, late model Caterham lower wishbones. Perhaps someone has converted their car to a wide track front suspension and the original lower wishbones are now extra to your needs. Let me know if you can help and what you might have. Thanks, Craig Chima (330) 807-0738 or chima97@aol.com
  8. Doing some shop cleaning and found a nice set of original uprights as would have been fitted to original Lotus 7's and early Caterhams. As you can see in the pix the uprights have the original stub axles installed but I also have a new pair of billet stub axles and will include those as well. ($125.00 for all including shipping anywhere in the continental US). Craig Chima, CC Motorsports (330) 807-0738 or chima97@aol.com
  9. Pan/pump, etc are sold. Thanks to all who inquired. Craig
  10. I'm in the process of converting a customer motor to dry sump and have a large capacity, modified 6 quart oil pan (later model lip seal) and related parts to sell. If you are doing any kind of racing, auto crossing, or just "enthusiastically" driving your 7 and don't have a dry sump system, an extra capacity baffled pan is a must-have. It is a "kick-out" style pan but the rear is still unmodified in order to fit a starter. Pan has baffles and includes the pickup tube/screen, dipstick, and oil pump. As can be seen in the pix, the oil pump has an adapter so that you can run a remote filter assembly and/or cooler if you like. $250 for all. Craig Chima, CC Motorsports, (330) 807-0738 or chima97@aol.com
  11. Manifolds sold. Carbs still available.
  12. Have a beautiful set of steel S2 pre-crossflow intake manifolds. Powdercoated in silver. $250/pr Also have one nearly complete and freshly sonic cleaned and rebuilt 40 DCOE 18, and one partially complete 40DCOE that needs more parts and assembly. Both carbs have 32mm chokes, F16 emulsion tubes and 125mains and 155 airs. The complete carb has new bearings, seals, throttle shaft, butterflies and is missing the following: (ONE screw top for one of the pump jets, TWO screw tops for the ball valves, Both push-in style auxiliary venturis. This carb is shown in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th pictures. The disassembled carb (last picture) probably has 50% of the parts needed to complete as can be seen in one of the pictures but is ready for assembly. $300 for both carbs and parts or $500 for everything listed above. Craig Chima, CC Motorsports, Akron, OH (330) 807-0742 or chima97@aol.com
  13. Updating my original post as follows: In addition to the parts mentioned above, a brand new thick-wall distance piece goes with the CWP set as does a new pinion seal. Another thought worth mentioning is that those "in the know" will recognize that the distance piece pictured is the original early style, meaning that the diff was likely assembled at the factory and then never touched until I disassembled it.
  14. Have an original 3.9 EnFo CWP gear set for sale. Not cheap reproduction stuff and gears are near-perfect condition. Includes both bearings, races, distance piece, flange and nut. $200 for all plus shipping from Akron, OH. Craig Chima, CC Motorsports. (330) 807-0742 or chima97@aol.com
  15. I need to sell one of my two Lotus 7 race cars and BOTH cars have near-identical components as follows: Fresh all-steel, dry-sumped 1500cc Pre-Crossflow motors making in excess of 160bhp with 45DCOE Webers, custom intake manifolds, headers and exhausts with merge collectors, roller-rockers, billet cams, custom TDC oil pumps, custom lightweight flywheels/7.25" clutch assemblies and best-of-the-best components throughout. The motors would cost over $20K to duplicate. Both also have FRESH Spridget-based dog ring transmissions with Hewland internals, lightweight driveshafts, fully-adjustable brake bias pedal assemblies, adjustable front and rear anti-roll bars, limited slip differentials, fresh fuel cells, billet axles, aluminum radiators, MSD ignitions, etc, etc, etc. Differences between the two cars as follows: Vintage-only car: This is the red/silver car that I built in 2010 and have raced roughly 20 times since then and has proved to be the fastest vintage-prepared Lotus 7 in the country (208's at VIR or W-G, 58's at LRP, 2:29's at RA, 1:36's at M-O, and 1:54's at Pitt-Race). This car has fully-adjustable aluminum bodied QA1 shocks all around, and a BMC based rear axle assembly with 3.9 Tranax LSD differential, rear drum brakes, one set of VTO wheels with Avon ACB10's and weighs right at about 1000# without driver. Legal with all vintage groups and still immaculate. SCCA car. This car won the 2020 SCCA Runoffs in FP and can be raced "as-is" as a front running SCCA car or would be an easy conversion to vintage. The car underwent a ground up restoration of the chassis (powdercoated) including all new aluminum panels during the winter of 2021/22 and has only 4 race weekends on it since that time. Primary differences between this car and the above "vintage-only" car are a substantially stronger chassis and SCCA compliant roll cage where the weight W/O driver and required ballast is +/- 1200 #. This car also has a custom English Ford based rear axle housing with full-floating axles, rear disc brakes and allows for adjustable rear camber (zero to 3 degrees negative). It also has 3 way adjustable remote-reservoir Penske shocks and THREE full sets of wheels with fresh tires plus tons of suspension and other spares (complete set front and rear fenders, diffs, axles, uprights, etc). It would also be an easy conversion to vintage specs (different front fenders and likely converting the rear disc brakes back to drums). Both cars are pristine, and will be delivered 100% race ready to the new owner and the price is the same $48,000.00 for either car. Please contact me for additional details, information, or pictures. 16. If your search doesn't turn up anything useable, I do lots of rear housings (Ford, BMC, TR, etc) for both street and race cars. Ford housings are easily the strongest (and heaviest) but will still distort when welding brackets onto them but I have jigs for all types and can straighten after fab work is done if needed. I just need location of pickup points and the height off the housing for centerline of bolt holes. PM or email if you need assistance. Craig Chima, CC motorsports, Akron, OH
  17. As I continue to downsize my shop I've decided to sell the 4 post lift that I've used for the past 15 years or so. When I bought it, I was specifically looking for a lift that didn't take up a ton of room in my shop but was also big enough and heavy duty enough to be suitable for a small sports car. The footprint of the 4 posts is 128" long x 94" wide and the actual platform is 124" long x 78" wide. The capacity of the lift is 2500# and the platform is cable operated and is run by a 110V electric motor which can be seen in the pix. Everything works as it should and it is still in excellent condition and has never let me down. It's a great lift if you simply need extra storage, or for getting a car up in the air in order to work on it. The price is $1300 which is a little less than 50% of what I paid for it. Located in Akron, OH and I'm happy to help disassemble (probably a 2 hour job -- it's going to remain in place until it's sold). When I picked it up, I used a small open 12' x 6' single axle trailer and that's all someone would need in order to transport it. Craig Chima (330) 807-0742 phone or text or chima97@aol.com
  18. Shocks have been sold separately. Project price now $4100.
  19. I have this Lotus 7 project car for sale and it would make a great vintage race car/track day car/or even potentially a street restoration project. I was intending on building this chassis up into a S2 vintage race car for a customer but he recently purchased an Elan and has backed out of the project. The chassis came from Chris at Sevens & Elans and is super straight, clean, and rust free except for some mild surface rust where the paint has peeled from the chassis tubes. I am certain that it is an early Lotus 7 chassis based on several key "tells" on the frame but unfortunately at this point there is no way of verifying that. The tin chassis tag was removed and the short frame section where the front of the pedal stanchion bolts to was cut out at some point before me ending up with the project. This section of the frame is where the original Lotus frame # would have been stamped and I can't imagine why it would have been cut out unless someone wanted it for another car in order to claim it was an original Lotus 7. It would also be a simple task to replace this section and I am willing to do this for the new owner if they so desire. But, I digress and here are other relevant details of the parts that accompany the project In addition to being a clean, straight and rust free chassis, there have been some nice reinforcements made to the transmission tunnel and rear transmission mount as can be seen in one of the pix. And while there are some imperfections in the aluminum skin, in my estimation if someone was careful in removing it when doing the frame, the skins could be easily cleaned up and re-used. There is also a nice aluminum bonnet (hood) and intake scoop included but no fiberglass. Most of the front suspension bits are also included and are as follows: Upper and lower a-arms, sway bar, proper early uprights with the bolt on caliper brackets, brake calipers, spindles, hubs, a rebuilt RHD steering rack and also the fender stays. I will also provide wheel bearings, trunions, bushings in order to complete the front suspension. Shocks: There is a nice set of QA1 adjustable aluminum bodied coilovers and 185# springs for the front and steel Spax adjustable coilovers and springs for the rear. Aluminum brake/clutch pedal stanchion including the original clutch and brake pedals. There is no gas pedal but that is an easy thing to fabricate Steering shaft with nice 3 spoke leather Racetech steering wheel, plus a proper early aluminum steering wheel hub attached to a ratty old steering wheel. BMC 3 into 1 header and exhaust. I have $4375 invested in everything above and at this point would just like to get my money back out of it. I will also consider selling off the parts listed above individually so if you are interested in anything mentioned please shoot me an email or PM and if some of the parts end up being sold, the price of the project will be adjusted downwards accordingly. Located in Akron, OH and it could also potentially be put on a pallet and shipped with the parts placed inside the chassis if someone desired. Or, if someone is interested in going vintage racing and having me build them a top-notch vintage race car this would be an ideal starting point and I am certainly open to discussions in that regard. 20. Doing some shop cleaning and have the following stuff all related to English Ford rear axles and rear end parts for sale: 3.77 Quaife limited slip unit completely set up in Magnesium housing. Ring and Pinion are in great shape, backlash is to spec and absolutely ready to install. I used this in my SCCA car a couple of times but it is not a ratio that I will likely use again but is perfect for street use (i.e. lower revs) or track use with low aspect ratio tire. $1750.00 4.11 CWP assembly. Very nice crown wheel and pinion gear set. $150 Rear Axles and bits for late Lotus 7's or solid axle Caterhams: Lots of stuff here. 4 axles, all which have been magnifluxed, with outer bearing, steel collar, and housing end cap in place. Axles also come with cryo treated rear rotors fitted (easily removable if not needed) in case someone was interested in doing a rear disc brake conversion. Also have 2 bolt on rear caliper brackets, pumpkin seals, and boxes of new bearings, seals, o-rings, etc as seen in the pix. $500 for all (pretty much a lifetime supply!) or will separate as requested. All of the above is all track tested and was used on National Championship winning Lotus 7 but I have since converted to a rear axle setup which allows for up to 3 degrees negative camber and so it is extra to my needs. Contact me at (330) 807-0742 or chima97@aol.com. I have lots more pix of all of the above parts and am happy to send or discuss as requested. Craig Chima, CC Motorsports, Akron, OH
  21. The nickel plated bar is sold. Caterham 3/4" wide track bar still available.
