  1. No title that I am aware of (I will check with Bob). And I don't believe that he has any pix posted online. It is strictly a race car, built out of a new chassis with 2 races on it since. Craig
  2. The car is currently at my shop for a quick tranny 'lookover' (it's got a small drip that Bob wants corrected before he sells the car). Any technical inquiries can be directed to me at chima97@aol.com or inquiries related to pricing or what's included with the car can be directed to doernbergr@aol.com. Craig
  3. In my opinion, this is probably the nicest SCCA Caterham in the country at the moment. Bob has been a customer of mine for several years and totalled his previous car at the Runoffs in 2011 at Road America and the car he is selling was built ground up from a brand new chassis during the winter of 2011-2012 at a cost of probably $25K. I believe he raced it twice in 2012 and decided to "retire" from racing (he is in his late 60's). If the Runoffs were held anywhere else but Road America I would say that this car would be a legitimate threat to win as it currently sits. It is basically a "new" car with all of the best components. Craig
  4. Wanted to let everyone know that I received a deposit check on the BDA motor today so I can safely say that it is "sold" and thanks to those who inquired about it. In a new and "related but unrelated" development I just learned that I am going to be getting a Lotus Elan in my shop within the next 2-3 weeks for major service/restoration work including a motor swap. The motor currently in the car will be available in the very near future and it is an awesome peice. It is an "all steel" MWE built, alloy block, 2 liter fuel injected Ford BDG making 262bhp on pump gas. I've driven the Elan (1400 pounds) and it's an absolute rocket ship and can only imagine what the motor would be like in a Caterham or "7" type car weighing 200 to 300 pounds less. I have just received the receipts and build sheets from the car owner along with dyno sheets from MWE and the motor was nearly $20K to build and has less than 1000 miles on it and the owner of the car wants $13K for it including all of the injection and computer. As mentioned, I'll be posting this motor separately once I have a chance to look over some of the receipts in greater detail but if anyone has interest "now" you can email me directly. Thanks, Craig
  5. Dark "smoke" colored lexan Caterham windscreen off of 1999 standard bodied Cat (i.e. non-SV). This windscreen has been used maybe a half-dozen times (at a few autocrosses) and is in excellent condition. The owner of the car is now driving it exclusively on the street (with windshield) and has asked me to post the windscreen for sale. $100 plus shipping from Akron, OH. (330) 807-0742 or chima97@aol.com P.S. It's obviously pictured upside down in the attached picture.
  6. I have a 100% fresh and ready to go 1700cc "all steel" Steve Jennings built BDA motor that will bolt right in your Ford powered Lotus 7, Caterham, or replica. Here are a few of the details. Fully dry sumped, and includes 45DCOE Webers, distributor, ignition, mounted alternator, and complete exhaust system for the motor from a Caterham chassis. This is basically a "plug and play" motor that is fresh from Jennings shop (premier BDA builder in the U.S.). It is an "all steel" motor with billet Cosworth crank, rods, and jackshaft and Cosworth pistons as well. The cam combination that is in the motor routinely yeilds 190 horsepower on 1600cc motors, so with the extra 100cc displacement we are figuring 195 to 200bhp, and with 10.5:1 compression it will run just fine on premium pump gas. The motor belongs to a customer of mine who was looking for a crossflow powered Caterham to buy that I posted the "wanted" ad for last month in order to install this motor in but this morning he pulled the trigger on a hot-rod early Lotus Elan (with Cosworth motor) and so the BDA is now for sale. The price of the motor is $10,500 FIRM and it is truly a steal at this price (notwithstanding the ignition, alternator, and Lotus exhaust system). It is still in the shipping crate that it came in from California (shipping was about $450 from California to Ohio for whatever that's worth to give interested parties an idea of shipping costs) and also includes an air cleaner assembly and extra belt. I have additional build details from Jennings (cam specs, bore, etc) for serious parties. Craig Chima CC Motorsports (330) 807-0742 or chima97@aol.com
  7. Thanks, John. Greatly appreciated. Re-read my post and realized the email address I used was incorrect. Proper one is chima97@aol.com. Thanks again. Craig
  8. Sorry, this should have been in the cars for sale/wanted section. Just don't know how to move it over now other than to totally cut and re-post. Craig
  9. A customer of mine is looking to buy a newer Kent powered (i.e. crossflow) Caterham for street and occasional track use. The ideal car would be as follows: under 15K miles Left Hand drive '95 or newer de Dion wide track front end cycle fenders can be 4 speed or 5 speed and it's not a problem if the motor is somewhat "tired" since I will be going through it in pretty short order. Fair price paid for the right car and if you are looking to sell a Caterham that's not quite as described above feel free to let me know. Not interested in Zetec, Duratec or other more modern engined cars. Craig (330) 807-0742 or chima7@aol.com
  10. Chrome plated Carrera 1 7/8" rear springs. 10" free length with 115# rate. Excellent condition. $75 for the pair plus shipping from Akron, OH (330) 807-0742 or chima97@aol.com
  11. The cell is now "sold" pending payment. I've actually been contacted by several people who want it so I would say it is very doubtful that anything will fall through but I will certainly re-post it if things change. Thanks to those who inquired. Craig
  12. 8 gallon Fuel Safe fuel cell. Fuel Safe makes these cells specifically for Lotus 7's and Caterhams and they are a direct replacement for a stock sized fuel tank with exactly the same shape and dimensions. This cell has not been used in several years (but was fine when last used), so there is a decent chance that the bladder may need to be replaced, but it comes with the aluminum outer shell, fuel sending unit, and also filler housing that will accept the stock rubber Caterham/Lotus fuel elbow (assuming you are using a stock fuel filler location). $100 for all plus shipping makes this a good start to getting you what you need if you are thinking about a cell for your car, even if the bladder needs replaced. Craig (330) 807-0742 or chima97@aol.com Pix available on request
  13. Darren I'm in Akron, OH, but sale pending as of this afternoon. Thanks to all who inquired thus far. Craig
  14. Fluidyne Aluminum Radiator. Measures 13" tall x 17" wide x 2" thick core. Perfect for a 7 or 7 type clone. We have been using this exact same type of radiator in our race cars for many years and this particular one belongs to a customer of mine who is getting out of racing. It has been his spare and he no longer has a need for it. The radiator will fit in a stock location (behind the forwardmost frame tubes) in a "real" Lotus 7, or will also fit in front of the frame as shown in the photos. Outlets are 1.5" and are in the top left and lower right and there is also a 1/8" NPT fitting in the top left (we used for air bleed) and also a 3/8"NPT fitting in the middle right (can be used for water temp sending unit). Works fine on our race motors making in excess of 160bhp without any type of cooling fan, etc and I suspect that it will handle more power than that without any issues. Radiator is in excellent condition with no dents or dings. $200 which is less than half of these units cost new. Craig (330) 807-0742 or chima97@aol.com
  15. I have six (6) identical billet aluminum Circle/Spinwerks 15 x 7" wheels for sale. They are in near perfect condition and would make excellent street or track day wheels. Bolt circle is 4 on 4.25" which is standard Caterham. Backspace is 4 5/8" and they weigh only 11.5 pounds each. I have test fitted these on both solid axle and de Dion Caterhams and they fit great. They were $200 each new and I will sell all 6 for $500. Craig (330) 807-0742 or chima97@aol.com
  16. Looking for a straight and true de-dion tube for SCCA EP race car. Let me know if anyone has a spare that they might have lying around. Thanks. Craig (330) 807-0742 or chima97@aol.com
  17. Header is now sold (pending payment arriving). Thanks to those who inquired.
  18. Header is 4 individual peices. # 1 and # 4 are separate tubes and # 2/3 tubes are a single peice. The collector is also a separate peice. The header came off a mid 80's left hand drive Caterham that has been converted to 1500cc pre-crossflow power with corresponding header.
  19. Brand new Caterham adjustable platform kit for Bilstein shocks. Basically an adjustable coilover collar kit to allow you to control ride height and corner weight your car. Currently sells for 192 Pounds from Caterham (roughly $300 U.S.) and I will sell for half of that ($150) plus shipping from Akron, OH. Craig (330) 807-0742 or chima97@aol.com
  20. Very nice stainless header from 1700 crossflow powered Caterham. Includes a lightweight Coast Fabrication muffler/silencer with 90 degree kickout that could potentially complete this exhaust system (you will need to fabricate a flange to mate the muffler to the header). $200 for all. Craig (330) 807-0742 or chima97@aol.com
  21. Bump. How about $150 for all 4 fenders. Shop clearout time. Craig
  22. Headlight brackets/wing stays sold. Thanks to those who inquired. Craig
  23. Have a pair of new Caterham front wing stays (still in the bag) for clamshell fenders. Can take pix if you are interested, but this is the peice required to mount your fender, headlight, and turn signal. Price each is now $120 from Caterham and I will sell for $100 for the pair plus shipping from Akron, OH. Craig (330) 80-0742 or chima@aol.com
  24. Need a minimum of one and preferably a pair of rear taillights for Caterham SCCA EP race car that was badly crashed at Road America last September. Let me know if anyone can help. (I know that they're available new, but as it's a race car my customer is hoping to find something "decent" used). Thanks, Craig (330) 807-0742 or chima97@aol.com
