  1. Michael, you're confusing Storkers with jokers. :jester: . . . . Goodness, I hope we didn't run bugzy off. This is his thread and we ain't heard a peep. :leaving:

Ah, did you mean Storker LS3? :jester: Sounds like fun; represent us Storker drivers well. :Chevy_anim:
  3. Well, the 'finger' is healing up nicely. Sorry, just looking for humor in tragedy. :jester:
  4. A Storker that's a porker, but with lots o' torque'r. :jester:
  5. bugzy, I see this thread is your first post. First of all, welcome to the forum. Secondly, take all this joking in jest; great bunch of guys here. While there's lots of knowledge and excellent information to be had, a handful of us like to 'mix it up' a bit whenever we get the chance; makes it fun. Feel free to sling a little mud back our way; we can take it. BTW, I really like the photos . . . and the wheels. :jester: Also, we Stalker owners, as well as fellow forum members with a keen (twisted) sense of humor, refer to our cars as Storkers :jester: . . . . .
  6. Good Lord, Mike! That had to smart a bit! Makes me cringe and laugh at the same time? :iamwithstupid:
  7. . . . . . :smilielol5:
  8. Brit, I just gave Glen a call and dropped a bug in his ear. I think you should follow up with your offer. :smash:
  9. How did you know? On a more serious note, I once shot a fairly large staple completely through a finger (right through the bone) with an air stapler; removal took a shot of Demerol and two cute nurses . . . . I think a doctor was also present. :jester:
  10. But Panasonic sounds sooo much faster.
  11. You guys have nailed me down . . . . . Am I really that easy to read?
  12. :cuss: :banghead: :iamwithstupid: . . . . nuff said

  14. Well . . . . . . :jester:
  15. Brit, More food for thought. While this is an apples and oranges comparison, I’ve had two specialty cars where I used Ford rear carriers on each. I also used a Ford Mustang 5.0 driveshaft flange yoke along with factory Ford mounting bolts (see photos below). The bolts do not have a grip length (grip length not needed in the application as would be the case such as a pivot point, like an A-arm for example). Here’s the thought, do you need grip length in the bolt at all? If not, this would open avenues for replacing the existing bolts with something shorter.
  16. Saw this earlier today on yahoo; hilarious! :smilielol5:
  17. It's about time!!!!!
  18. Ditto, Stig. I'm all about the service port.
  19. You sound just like a car builder. :smash: . . . . .
  20. jevs, I ordered some of these last week and was concerned with the same thing. Although McMaster lists these as plastic (which leads one to believe they are very rigid), they feel more like a cross between teflon and rubber once in-hand. They install VERY easily, can be removed with no damage and reused at will. When I ordered these, the part number was the same as the ones I originally installed on my car in 2007, however, the material is different (better, in my opinion) when compared to my old 'true' rubber' bumbers.
  21. jevs, You’re not over thinking things; there are simply areas where you have the latitude to come up with your on solutions, such as the hood. For the 'shift' from where the back of the hood flange stops riding on the side panel top lip and then transitions to the upper frame rail, I used a push-in bushing from McMaster-Carr that allowed for the difference in height between the hood flange and the fram rail: http://www.mcmaster.com/#1670k2/=ubu1mj For the area between the rear of the hood and the scuttle, I used the following, also from McMaster-Carr: http://www.mcmaster.com/#9309k121/=ubu02z This is an old build photo of the hood flange, but it still applies: http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=10890 And a recent photo of the scuttle: http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=23912
  22. A woman goes into a bar, sits down beside a fellow and asks him, "Can you help me with an itchy-booty?" He responds, "Ma'am, I don't know a thing about foreign cars, but I'll be glad to buy you a drink." :svengo: :jester: . . . . .
  23. Brit, Looking fantastic! :Chevy_anim: Also, FWIW, although our transmissions are different, classic Stalker shifters were also located under the dash. While this may not be something you want to consider doing, it may be food for thought. I cut off the bottom drop-down portion of my dash and relocated it forward to make additional clearance for the shifter. The first link is from back in 'the day' and shows what I did originally for shifter clearance. The second link is of a more recent photo: http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=10340 http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=22028 . . . .
  24. Thanks, Mike. That went well with the mornin' coffee. The Storker looks new; never seen that one before. I wonder if the VW comes with jumper cables and a cocktail bar?
