  1. I agreed with Ian7. My 09 green Caterham has the full Caterham package like yours and the heat factor is more or less the same as my 03 silver Caterham.
  2. Try J.C. Whitney. http://www.jcwhitney.com/Heat-Shield-General-Purpose-Insulation/600002669.jcw?in_dim_search=1
  3. This is one serious machine!
  4. Congratulation. Great to have another Series 4 on the road.
  5. here is a picture of Jeff Sloan's design.http://www.usa7s.net/ASPNETFORUM/upload/1203101480_license1.bmp
  6. Jeff Sloan at British Auto Specialist made a front license plate bracket for both of my Caterhams. Contact him at http://www.britauto.net/ For the back, I used plastic tie wrap to strap the plate to the spare tire carrier on the silver Caterham. Jeff drilled two small holes on the carrier for the green Caterham.
  7. The car is running on Toyo S/T truck tires??
  8. Yesterday on the way to Texas World Speedway to watch vintage car racing (Corithinan Vintage Car Racing).
  9. The desire for speed is integral with Seven ownership.
  10. I have both the 180 degree and 195 degree theromostats on my Caterhams and they work fine with no driving issue. The 147 hp Zetec has the 195 degree and the SVT has the 180 degree.
  11. What a beautiful contrasting view! A clam shell Seven running a track event with skyscrapers background.
  12. I talked to Caterham USA on the phone a week ago in regards to my engine.
  13. This is the wife's Caterham. The silver one is mine. Texas being a community property state, I will have a chance to take it to the track.
  14. It has the SVT with Kent cam, light flywheel, 5 speed, LSD, 15 inch wheel with Avon CR500, AP Racing front brake with 4 pots.
  15. You two are a perfect couple with identical good taste in cars. Caterham and Europa - life is good.
  16. I replaced my SV's original Avon with the Hankook RS-2 Z211 205/45-16. Bridgeston RE-01R is also available in this size.
  17. It is home!!:hurray: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/795071196_IMG_0158.JPGhttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/2041680925_IMG_0161.JPG
  18. Allstate has been covering my Caterham since 2003. I added the 09 Caterham last Thursday. Your agent may not be familiar with the policy. As a matter of fact, I referred another Caterham owner in Dallas and they issued him a policy.
  19. Allstate provides full coverage for the Caterham, Lotus Esprit, and Lexus. No limit on mileage.
  20. BAD timing. When I bought my 03 Caterham, the Zetec SVT was not available. Now my 09 Caterham is just about ready for delivery, the Duretec has became available. I think my Zectec SVT with Kent cam and light flywheel should be more or less equal to the R400.
  21. I have a spare on my current Caterham and I also ordered a spare for the new car. The spare and jack provide a peace of mind on the road. They also provide a little cushion between your rear end and the SUV behind you.
  22. I used the half top from Soft Bit For Seven. The Caterham top is in the closet and has never been on the car.
  23. Yesterday some one in a Ford Thunderbird hit me in the back at a traffic light. I was driving the Landcruiser with a Class 2 hitch. My truck has no damage beside adding some new Ford green paint. If I were in the Caterham, I will be writing this e-mail from a hospital room.
  24. You have motivated me to go out this evening. After what Ike has done to us last weekend, I really need to take the Seven out for some stress management .
