I agreed with Ian7. My 09 green Caterham has the full Caterham package like yours and the heat factor is more or less the same as my 03 silver Caterham.
Jeff Sloan at British Auto Specialist made a front license plate bracket for both of my Caterhams. Contact him at

For the back, I used plastic tie wrap to strap the plate to the spare tire carrier on the silver Caterham. Jeff drilled two small holes on the carrier for the green Caterham.
I have both the 180 degree and 195 degree theromostats on my Caterhams and they work fine with no driving issue. The 147 hp Zetec has the 195 degree and the SVT has the 180 degree.
Allstate has been covering my Caterham since 2003. I added the 09 Caterham last Thursday. Your agent may not be familiar with the policy. As a matter of fact, I referred another Caterham owner in Dallas and they issued him a policy.
BAD timing. When I bought my 03 Caterham, the Zetec SVT was not available. Now my 09 Caterham is just about ready for delivery, the Duretec has became available. I think my Zectec SVT with Kent cam and light flywheel should be more or less equal to the R400.
I have a spare on my current Caterham and I also ordered a spare for the new car. The spare and jack provide a peace of mind on the road. They also provide a little cushion between your rear end and the SUV behind you.
Yesterday some one in a Ford Thunderbird hit me in the back at a traffic light. I was driving the Landcruiser with a Class 2 hitch. My truck has no damage beside adding some new Ford green paint. If I were in the Caterham, I will be writing this e-mail from a hospital room.
You have motivated me to go out this evening. After what Ike has done to us last weekend, I really need to take the Seven out for some stress management .
