  2. The driver side is wrong. The buckle and the insert need to sway side.

  4. You can download the manual from the Cateham Uk site. To get in reverse, I use two hands to push the gear lever down.
  5. I plan to skip the Saturday night dinner too.
  6. The Porsche Cayenne has grab handles on the center console. It looks like an ideal place for the Seven too. I agree that the dash is too far away to do any good. Your passenger may twist his/her wrist trying to hold on.
  7. It is addictive once you have taken a test drive.
  8. Here is a picture of James and his Superlight sitting in the grass at Lotus Owners of South Texas (LOST) track day in the Houston Police Academy track.
  9. RC45 - Great video. James' Superlight is a very quick car and you handled it very well.
  10. http://www.castrol.com/castrol/genericarticle.do?categoryId=82915470&contentId=7032644 Castrol makes a high ZDDP oil. Note it is not applicable for 1993 or newer model cars.
  11. The track is MSR Houston.
  12. The rear wings will have a lot more wear and tear from gravel spray than the nose cone. $ 1,000 can pay for several new nose paint job.
  13. The Caterham dealer in Ft. Worth uses the following on my vehicles: Zetec 147 hp - Castrol GTX 20W50; SVT 205 hp - Castrol Syntec 10W30
  14. My Zetec 147 hp operates around 98 to 100 degree C and the SVT Zetec runs cooler at 82 to 85 degree C.
  15. The Caterham owners manual (Page 21) states the optimum operating water temperature is 110 degree C for track days. Is this applicable to Zetec engine?
  16. Great news. Thank you.
  17. I have a 2009 SV.
  18. The red light is rear fog light.

Jaguar is now leading the pack. One no longer needs to buy two Jags to keep one on the road. Tata must have done an excellent job in shaping up the Queen's union workers across the pond.
  20. Car and Driver Magazine has a comparison test in 2004. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/comparison_test/convertibles/2004_caterham_seven_superlight_r_vs_factory_five_racing_mark_ii_roadster_honda_s2000_lotus_elise_mazdaspeed_mx_5_miata_comparison_test
  21. I had a Porsche 911 before my addiction to Lotus/Caterham. The Porsche is comfortable, reliable, fast, and solid as a rock. The Seven beats your body to pieces, requires tinkering, scares you silly with its go kart mentality, and has all kind of rattles and funny noises.
  22. I plan on being there. I probably will take the Landcruiser because we plan to continue our driving trip to the Carolinas and Georgia.
  23. The tax is Texas sales tax applicable to the kit.
  24. Caterham kit: custom duty - $ 1,034; freight from port of entry to dealer in Ft. Worth - $ 300; Tax - $ 3,700; dealer assembly - $ 4,000
