  1. What an awesome job you have done. The car looks fantastic....I feel your Perma-grin coming on already!!
  2. I have a 1.6L CVH, NGK BCPR6ES plugs. Have the gaps set at 28 thou, or .8mm for the metric minded.. Gaps will be different for engine types and plug types. A bit of research and some road testing soon lets you know where you should be.
  3. Absolutely right, and also the plug gap, makes a world of a difference..

    Alberta Blat

Alberta 7's......I'm off the road for a short while, front wheel bearings and ball joints to do. Ball joints on their way in from the UK, bearing seals on their way from BC. Once I am back on the road how about we gather the Alberta Bunch and do a Blat? My Megajolt is installed and working a treat..
  5. There is also a case for not over reacting. I wear driving glasses and also have reading glasses, I am sure that many of us fall into a similar category of correcting our vision but are still perfectly ok to drive and enjoy our toys.
  6. Hi Ron, this is the 7 from Alberta, cant join you this year. We are making the trip down to South Dakota to take part in the Black Hills Bighorn gathering. I know your gathering will be a great success, it certainly was last year. We will be at the Vancouver get together next year. Cheers. Steve
  7. Finally got the Megajolt installed and same kind of experience as Russ, OMG what a difference. Smooth idle much better pick up off the line, no backfiring. Really pleased. Glad your Petronix worked out Russ.
  8. Got out for my first blat two days ago. Just a short run, about 180 miles, still got that stupid grin AGAIN.... Gave her the once over when I got home to make sure all was good, nope! Got a bad front wheel bearing and a coolant leak somewhere. Still grinning tho!!
  9. No worries mate, we know you can take it!!!:cooldude:
  10. Make this one Happen Terry.. this could be one hell of a great run. We are definately in..
  11. I simply presumed it would be all types of 7, David from Super 7 cars was at the get together in Vancouver last year which was all types of 7 cars, he had a blast and was open to any meeting that included all 7's. I hope that is still the case.
  12. Count us in.. Its on our schedule as of now..
  13. Very nice looking car!!
  14. Hi Doug Welcome aboard. Good to hear that there will be another Alberta 7 outthere!!. There has to be a Summer blat coming on...:driving:
  15. Hi Tom Can you give me a link to where on ebay you are getting your mirrors. Cheers. Steve
  16. I have a friend in Canmore who brought a 7 in from the UK I could ask him if he wouldn"t mind passing info on to you. He said that it wasn"t that difficult a process. I brought my car in from Japan, it had to be 15 years old to comply with import rules. It is also a right hand drive, no problem at all, you quickly get used to it. I know that the guys on the WSCC are aware of a lot of the cars for sale and are quick to point out the good one's. Check out the Pistonheads site, a lot come up for sale there. More than happy to help as much as I can. Steve
  17. This may not be what you have in mind, there are a lot of well spec"d westfield's for sale in the UK at very reasonable prices. In the 5to 6000 pound range. I think that is aprrox $9500. Even with shipping that would still work pretty good for a well put together car. Just a thought!!
  18. That sounds like a plan, nothing like getting your hands dirty and then the satisfaction of that seven thrill and grin. :iagree:
  19. Ready to go on tour. http://www.usa7s.com/vb/showthread.php?t=5429
  20. Hi Gary The guys are right, looks like a Pinto power plant. Depends how much is being asked for the car as to whether its worth taking the project on.. I know that my little 1.6cvh provides a lot of fun and some really spirited driving thrills.. strap twin webers on there and a good exhaust system. Here's a couple more pic's of 'Her Madge' that you asked for.
  21. Always tricky to tell from pic's but doesn"t look in bad shape. With the drum brakes, it may be an SE. As I am sure John will tell you, even with a crossflow on board a 7 is still a fun machine to drive, and there is always up-grade itis...but you already know that, you had an S1. go for it...
  22. That looks like a crossflow alright. As John said, ckeck out the guys on the WSSC site, they are a helpfull bunch. Just buy it, they are a great car.. not that I am Biased at all!!
  23. Good to hear, dying to get mine down off the blocks and see how she runs with the megajolt on board!! Doing a few more things as well, modifying the spare wheel rack so that it slide in and out, that way it can also be a luggage rack. Getting ready for the South Dakota trip.. larger gas tank is on the cards as well, and so on and so on .............We are only into our 2nd year, did approx 4K in her last year, should do well over that this year.
