Cheers Hank, always good to refresh your memories of what to do and when to do it. Did my Life saving courses a long time ago, still remember them but this is a good update. Thanks for the Nudge..

Gonna be warm this weekend, I'm going out.....:cooldude::driving::driving:

Good for you mate, I'm not done yet. We have our first snow today but I'll be damned if I'm wrapping her up for the year yet. The first inkling of bright sky and we are off to get cold. Winter woolies and a face wrap and I am good to go.

Hi Russ My understanding is that you can switch from one to the other as long as they have the same number of cylinders. Vehicles that is..the system is based on the ford EDIS system so you would have to install that on the 2nd vehicle. I bought mine in the U.S at http://www.autosportlabs.com/ They will be able to inform you much better than I can, I will be installing mine over this next few weeks(hopefully) I will do an update to let you all know how well or badly I did.

Check out the MegaJolt systems. Will require installing a trigger wheel and sensor, coil pack instead of dizzy. Sounds a lot but apparently not to bad a conversion. And you would then have a programmable ignition system. This is one of my Winter projects also..I already have the Ford EDIS system on my car, so just requires the Megajolt pack and some wiring, I will also go for a manifold pressure sensor.

I'm following this thread with great interest, I love the sensation of driving with no doors but of course the face pounding is not to much fun. The thought of clear sidescreens is appealing and I am very interested in your project, not to sure if they would fit my Westfield? Measurement time... -
Should we attend LOG 31 or aim for a National USA7s Meet in 2011?
lancylad replied to Croc's topic in National Events
s2k7;47445]Take this note: Aside from Caterham, Westfield has one of the biggest membership among Lotus clones in England [ I attend this forum regularly, as you all know I drive a" Westy" . There are a good number of the members of the forum who drive Caterhams and are accepted with open arms and of course a good dose of Brit humour. Like most of us, they just want to drive their own piece of madness and associate with like minded individuals. Speaking of which.. lets really make a huge get together a reality, Vegas sounds great, would be a great trip for me,the Missus and 'Her Madge'.. ROAD TRIP...:hurray: -

A seven is a seven is a 7.. isn't that the point of having one of these cars.. When I slide into the cockpit, strap myself in and turn the key, manufacturers names dont mean diddly. I am there for the sheer joy and exhileration of piloting the most sensory attached machine on the road. I really wish there wasn't snobbery within the world of 7's but, there is, so let the ones who have to feel superior with flashing the NAME.. card have their own little world. How about the rest of us who simply love our cars regardless of what name is on it, get on with promoting our 7ness and attracting more to our open and friendly minded forum. A USA7 meet in Vegas would certainly be attractive to Linda, me and "Her Madge". -
Hi twobone. Try this site for info. Dontknow how to link this for you so you will have to google it. Performancecarbkits.com on their main page about third down on the left is tuning spec box, click on that and they have a huge amount of freee info on Webers. really helped me out with mine. I had the same problem as you, takes a bit of fiddling around, but well worth the learning curve. Good luck.

Hi Kiwi. Huge interest in the car, never ending stream of questions. We had to leave before the end of the event so no Blue ribbon for us this time. What a great day tho, our cars draw a crowd wherever they are. taking her out for a run to my daughters in Strathmore today, temp is about 10 degrees right now, roll neck sweater, flat hat and away I go.. will be a couple of hundred miles round trip, just eneugh to excite the senses Again..Damn I love this car.:cooldude:

Seats were metal, I think this guy was pushing 400 HP or so. Imagine that coming into your rear view mirror..
-
Decided to enter the local Show and shine, last minute decision. Was actually a lot of fun, about 1500 cars showed up.
-
The temp just went up to 7 so I am off out with the "Madge" for a Blat.
-
Now we are cooking, lets keep this going. I feel a mass seven gathering coming on. Whatever it turns out to be, Linda and I will gladly do what we can to help make it a success. More input the better. Ron, you started a good thing here, lets turn up the heat...
-
Come one come all, 7 is a 7 is a seven. The more the merrier. :driving::driving:

Hey Ron Couldn"t stand it anymore, took "Her Madge" out in the rain yesterday and had a blast, learned a whole lot more about rear end control(the Cars I mean). I am going to drive her up to the last minute of this year, not looking foward to wrapping her away for the winter. really looking foward to the next years get together, let me know if i can be of any help at all. Steve
-
hey b2, next year we should try to set it up so that we meet at some point and pick up any other sevens along the way. Land sakes, we got us a Convoy..
-
Hey Kitcat, works even better after a light sprinkling of rain. Hanging the rear end out that is..( the cars) We have just to much fun dont we. And yes, it never gets old.
-
Thanks Ron, been looking foward to seeing those. What a bunch of great looking cars...
