  1. Starting to get exciting around here, we are off today to get some bags to strap to the back of "Her madge". Had the new soft top fitted last week and all seems to be good with that, hopefully we wont need to use it to much. Will pick up a set of walkie talkie thingies and some ear plugs...Got to make sure we plan our course based on the small gas tank in the Westie, only 5 galls, not much of a range but gives the chance for lots of stops and posing opertunities..just have to work on trimming S.W.M.B.O luggage requirements down. Will be leaving Nanton on Thursday, not to sure of departure time yet. We are going to take the scenic route, South on H,way 22 then #3 thru the Crowsnest pass to Castlegar, thats about 320 miles. After that just a short hop of another 380 miles or so on #1 thru to Vancouver..:auto::driving: Looking foward to it, and meeting a bunch of like minded 7 heads.
  2. Welcome Trough Doctor. Never heard of a Centaur before, where were they produced?
  3. Beautifull looking car Mike, get well soon and start getting some wear on those tyres...:driving:
  4. Ok, I'm jealous. Good for you guys, glad you had a great run. Will take many pics for sure on our west coast run, vids as well if the camera does as its supposed to do. Will keep you informed. Thanks for the pics Stewart. Steve
  5. Ok Oyagi heres the story.. We live in converted 104 year old church which is also our photography studio. Which has no garage. So.. I started to prepare the rather small yard to accept a Shed/Garage for "Her Madge". So far so good, then my Wife Linda's Daughter decides to get married and wants to use our (Church) studio to have the ceremony in, and of course use the yard for a garden party style party. So, the garage idea is now a Patio idea:toetap05:. Get the picture... We did the wedding this weekend and all went well, did an amazing photo shoot with Bride and Groom, and used Her Madge in some of the pics, will post some pics when the editing is done. Anyhow, now I can get back to my original plan of a home for my baby..and turn the studio back into a Studio. Oh my, I need a beer..
  6. Every run is a good run. This one was awesome, I dropped the top hunkered down and enjoyed the feeling of the early morning moisture. All part of that sensory experience that is 7 driving..amazing exhaust tone, wind across your face, sensing what each corner of the car is doing by the feeling in the seat of your pants. You dont so much drive our cars, you wear them..Was it a good drive.. Hell Yeh!!!!!:driving::hurray:
  7. Twobone, you echo all the sentiments that we all feel. These are feel good cars, there is no way you can go for a blat in one and not have that silly grin, and the feeling rubs off on anyone in close proximity to the car..had a Dino driver drooling over mine this last week.. :driving::driving:
  8. Early Morning Dew and she is ready to Go for a Run.
  9. clasik7, flyin7, lowflyn,

  12. Ouch, enough already. My ribs hurt from that one....:jester:
  13. Dont know if this helps..
  14. Didn't realize you had to go thru that kind of a test, we dont here in Alberta. I have a 1.6CVH with twin Webers and a 4 into 1 exhaust. No problems getting her thru the provincial. Search around for a friendly garage.. they must be out there somewhere. Dont give up, there is to much waiting for you and your 7.. Just remembered, the guy I got my car from in Japan did exactly what you were suggesting. He had a standard exhaust complete with Cat and put them on for the tests and then took them off after.
  15. beautifull looking car, a for sure crowd puller. Congrats, Enjoy....
  16. amazing pics, so glad the pilot was ok. I am going to that airshow tomorrow.
  17. Ok Ian, I'm in..
  18. Hi Kevin Welcome to the crew. Did you get the car from a guy named Richard? Nice looking machine. Had a ride in Z3 Stalker's car last week. Based on his car, you are going to have a blast in yours..:cooldude:
  19. Did some work on the Carbs yesterday, fitted new soft gaskets(Misabs) the old one's were in a really bad state. The previous owner had tightened the carbs on to much, supposed to tighten them so there is still a small amount of movement when you pull up on the carb body. Approx 10mm so I'm told. Also changed the spark plugs for the ones recomended by Westfield. What a difference,, checked out the Aux venturis while I had the carbs off and they are to big for the altitude of Nanton. We are at approx 4000 ft here, the car was at sea level in Japan. May have to change the Aux Vents from 4.5 to 3.5. All part of the fun of being a 7 owner. Got to go... time to Blat:driving::drool:
  20. Had a great day out today, took a spin up to Calgary and met Stewart who is also(Z3 stalker). Great to finally meet another 7 owner and sit and have a cuppa and talk cars... arrived at his place to find his Baby parked on the driveway, great sight. After a good natter he treated me to a quick trip around some the back roads and also a short highway blat, that car has got some get up and go. The car is a credit to Stewarts mechanical abilities, I am looking foward to getting out and about for a good long run sometime in the not to distant future, both our cars I mean. As long as he remembers that he has 2 more cylinders than I do. Thanks Stewart, oh yes, he has that stupid 7 grin as well, ear to ear, non stop..Good guy, good car.
