  2. :iagree: Tom: Just got back .. and the trip was great! We stayed in the Sultinahmed district .. 2 blocks from the Blue Mosque pictured above and also 2 blocks from Haghia Sophia! We took a day cruise up the Bosphorus Strait between Europe and Asia and hiked to a castle fortress. Topkapi Palace and the Harem was amazing! Plus lots of great food. Haghia Sophia really amazed me most of all ! Then on to the cruise .. Ephesus, Rhodes, Badrum, Santorini, Mikanas, and Athens. 7. Who hasn't modified his seven? Well I've been talking about my Muth Signal Mirrors with custom Muth Multifunctional Module that makes the mirrors double as Brake Lights. Then there's the Grant Security System with removable Steering Wheel and horn. Horns are Hella Supertones. Center mounted LED brakelight on roll bar Plus brake fluid sensors in all three master cylinder reservoirs. New Battery Cutoff Switch .. New Rear Fenders and tail lights still need to be installed. And Convert to EFI .. Rob

  22. Got busy today .. Called DeKalb Co to send a police officer to do a VIN search and certify that the VIN is Ok. The officer was impressed with what he saw. Cleaned and put everything back together .. Scuttle and windshield back on. Then drove her to the gas station for the first time .. for the first "fill'er'up"! Then went for an evening drive .. about 5 miles at dusk. Felt good. Got a few stares! I experienced the footwell warmth for the first time. Hopefully I can get her tagged tomorrow. Georgia allows for up to six vanity plate selections. Hopefully SE7EN is not taken. Rob
  23. Busy weekend .. worked the whole time .. so I only got back to the car today. There was a small problem with the Muth Multifunction Module. The simulated alarm tic was interfering with the turn signal function. So after some brief thought .. I did some wiring testing and relocated one wire. Easily corrected. This wiring project is now finished with the exception of locating the reverse switch on the transmission. Saturday I received the Back Off XP module in the mail. Well made circuit in a small package. When I'm off on Wednesday I'll install it. Gotta clean up the car and get rid of all the tools .. awaiting insurance cards in the mail. Rob
  24. Hey Lions! Why waste your energy on 1500 pound wildebeast which can hurt you! Look around and you will see a tourist crowd of two legged deer nearby! Rob
  25. A coworker bought a BMW .. of which she was really proud. So after a year of enjoyment of her "ultimite driving machine" .. I asked her, "What do the intials BMW stand for?" She had no idea! So when I told her she thought it was a joke! So I did a google search to prove to her .. and her statement was, "I'm going to quiz my boyfriend about this." She had never heard of "Bimmers" either. A few days later, my 12 year old daughter and I passed a BMW and I asked her the same question. She came up with "British Motor Works." She is studying German in middle school. When I told her the correct answer .. her response was, "That is so cool!" Another friend (who is alot smarter) bought a used .. "pre-owned" BMW convertible .. Well one day I noticed that one of her taillights was out. She stated that the BMW dealer service center had fixed it previously .. so I offered to take a look. Well I was dismayed to see that there is only ONE wire going to each light bulb .. and the sockets are grounded to the taillight assembly by twisting the light sockets into place. How cheaply made! Well the grounding contacts were burned irrepairably .. and the heat had distorted the plastic .. so the WHOLE tail light assembly had to be replaced! It was still under used warrantee though. I don't think I really care about a BMW. Well maybe an old one .. Rob
