  1. Twas a sad day in Indy yesterday.
  2. Actually I think dougf responded first. Maybe the Deschutes incentive bumped him? Seriously, let talk seats. I've got my backing, foam and all the leather to start sewing mine but I'd rather focus on building the REST of the car!
  3. Looks like Michael has a little auction going on here! Yes, the size and color is perfect. I'll match any reasonable offer PLUS a case of Deschutes Brewery's beer!
  4. Allright, I'm WAY interested! What color naugahyde are these?
  5. What an incredible power-to-wieght ratio! And wouldn't it be great if roads had both lanes available ALL of the time?!?
  6. Just my two cents; IF your car has been built to original Lotus 7 specs, you'll have metalastic bushes where the lower a-arm and upper arm mount to the frame. These provide some suspension and damping when they are properly tightened while the car is at "ride height." In other words they are self-centering. If your's were tightened while the front suspension was compressed they will try to return to that position. Again, this is on the assumption you have this type of mounting AND your coils aren't simply worn out thus sagging.
  7. I'm interested as well, assuming these are for a Lotus 7 i.e.
  8. Its the nature of the beast. To have equal length axles, a pinion gear is often offset (hence the drive shaft is offset) to engage ring gear which is offset. A picture is worth a thousand words; http://www.musclecarclub.com/library/tech/differential.shtml
  9. Michael, what diameter is the steering wheel and can a poor person afford it?

I have faith in modern medicine and you WILL get better Skip! As for the source of infection; If I can build myself a Lotus 7 from scratch I can certainly build you a catapult! Just say the word.
  11. If a pimp were ever to assemble a seven inspired car...
