What's the best way to go without the doors that doesn't loose the mirrors?

Some kind of hinge mounting bracket?

Do you go for a run with the doors or not?

I got a set from Beachman Racing (beachmanracing@mac.com) that slide over the posts and tighten with a hex bolt. Unlike the factory mirrors, no vibration.

When using that URL I got a notice I was about to log into mac.com as beachmanracing. I clicked on the OK and got the Macintosh web site.

Sorry, my error, now corrected. It should be beachmanracing@mac.com. You can also call Bruce at (206) 774-0852.

I was looking for pictures of your mirrors, can you post some or a link to them?

I have motorcycle mirrors that thread into the rear mounts for the windshield or Brooklands screens. I can use them with or without the side curtains. I had to drill out the brackets behind the sheet metal and tap them to a 10mm 1.25 thread to accommodate the threads on the mirror stems.

I have a similar set up with a mirror mounted on the lower portion of the windscreen support bracket. Too low for most rear vision but it's "legal" in CA. Scuttle mirror shows mostly the spare tire so I have a suction mounted mirror, top of windscreen, left of center. Works great. It's a "watch the baby in the rear car seat" application!:)

I usually run doors but no door mirrors. I use the 'mirrors for sevens' rear view mirror that clips on the top of the windshield. Got it from mirrorsforsevens.com

PS Skip: How well do those little side screens lower the buffeting? (sorry about the thread jack)

I think they make quite a difference. Others claim they make it worse. I added the little stand offs at the bottom of the wind wings. Adding the mirrors lowered the buffeting even more.

I also have the Mirrors for Sevens and I really like it.

If you prefer black, I put mirrors from an Aprilia Tuono on my motorcycle.

I too tried those motorcycle type mirrors, but they were designed for mounting to a horzontal surface, not a vertical one like doors or scuttle sides.

I use Spa carbon-fiber side mirrors, with the bracket made by Seven and Elans that mount to the windscreen frame, using existing holes.

See: http://www.sevenselans.com/partsforsale.ht

These brackets place the side mirrors high enough to be useful. I tightened up the mirror swivel actions with Bellville springs, in the manner suggested earlier on this forum.

I also use a panoramic center windscreen-mounted mirror available from MirrorsforSevens.

Together, these cover all bases.

This may not be the answer that you're looking for, but I believe that several people use the chrome backs of the headlights as convex "side mirrors". Takes a bit of getting used to, but it works and is legal some places..

I couldn't get http://www.pdllc.net to pull up.

Got any other links?

Paul,

Should be the same as http://b2networx.com/

I think if you go to the web site and use the contact info, this might get you to Mark Scott . . . maybe; it's an old post. If that fails, contact jbanker (forum name).

PM sent to jdbanker.

Will advise what I learn here.

Mark seems like too good of a source to lose track of.

Thanks!

I would highly recommend these mirrors, based on function. They are not pretty. They slide on and off the existing door mounts with a sliding pin, so changing from door to doorless is easy. Does anyone know the source? I need a starboard side, and haven't been able to find them. No logo.

I also use the panoramic, but I'm always glancing for the side mirrors. Habit.

If I could just find a good mirror with a good pivot, I can build the adaptor to make it fit my doors AND door mount. All of the stuff at the motorcycle places is cheap chines crap.
