US Texas 7
Looks great! Hope you enjoy it as much as I have mine. Up to 13,300 miles at lunch. Very hard to stop driving and come back to work. Have fun.
jimrankin
Really beautiful! Probably one of the last to get completed as there don't seem to be any more kits coming out of Texas. Hopefully the success of Stalker will lure another American made 7 kit car company to emerge.

MudHut
After much research, I have found that this car was built by Backdraft motorsports (http://backdraftracing.com) out of Florida. They normally build Cobra replica cars. I bought this car out of Chicago early in November and have been making it mine, as far as style, for a bit now. It does appear to be very well built, although I haven't been around others to compare, with many thoughtful additions. Coming out of a supercharged BMW M coupe, which wasn't a slouch as far as acceleration, this thing is on a whole different level of quick. Are all the Seven type cars this quick? Jeez. I'll post some pictures in the near future. I can pretty much guarantee this car is going to get dirty and be driven. It will never be as clean as it is in the pictures again. To me, that is a good thing. Jay Edited December 28, 2015 by MudHut Speeling
cytocycle
Thanks for posting up the door on the footwell, I hate removing that whole cowl because it's brittle here in AZ. I am going to see about doing something like that. What shifter is that? My S2000 Shifter is way to notchy because it's so short? Great build and attention to detail.. MudHut
I'll trade you cowls, although mine has a bit of damage in the nose. I'd rather not have the door, or, I think I'd rather not have the door. It looks kind of kludged together compared to the rest of the build. Factory height S2000 shifter I suspect. Different knob.

Great build and attention to detail.. yes, thats a factory s2000 shifter. generally they are cut very short. i have recently acquired a ap2 trans with the hopes that it will be a bit softer on the shifts (even with my cut shifter). ill let you know! cytocycle
Thanks I ordered a Tall shifter, and noticed the FAQ about greasing the factory shifter again. But mine is cut like 2-3" short.. and makes for very difficult quick shifting. I might order a stock arm if the taller shifter knob doesn't help. Mudhut - I wouldn't trade with you because mine is kinda brittle from being in Arizona. You just need to put some stickers that say "pussy Pedal fluid goes here" James Dean would be proud ;-)
