2013 CSR260 with 520 miles

I am considering selling my 2013 CSR260 CSR.jpg. The picture is from the day it was handed to me in August 2013 having been built by Jon at Caterham USA in Denver. I had the car shipped from Denver to Connecticut by Gary Straight and I am afraid I have not used it as much as I expected. I have never taken it on a track nor has it ever seen rain. The car is as delivered, except its done 520 road miles. The chassis was $55,150 from Caterham UK, the motor $16,000 from Cosworth UK and Jon charged $6,000 to build it. All in the total was $77k.

The specification is attached but essentially it is standard plus $10k of options like the proper roll bar, seats, carbon and lowered floor.

The car is road registered in Montana, located in southern Connecticut and in my garage. Serious enquiries only please.

Thanks for the enquiries. I am thinking $60k.

RD,

I do not mean to hijack your thread. But see you are in CT and must tell you Route 7 along the housatonic river up to Lime Rock was an absolutely beautiful blat this afternoon (hidden benefit of working weekends). This weekend's weather forecast is brisk but good....

ps: Beautiful seven, good luck!

You have a beautiful car. I actually saw Jon put the finishing touches on this a few years back while I was visiting his shop. That's as close as I could get while waiting for my kit to arrive.

I'm obviously biased, but $60k sounds like a steal. Given the market for these cars you may be well advised to send it to a Caterham dealer. The increased visibility and them being able to convince the buyer it is a well built car, I would think you could get a fair bit more. Of course I don't know what their commission is. Either way, good luck.

GC-this is a CSR, not an SV. Similar room inside (much better than standard S3), better suspension than SV. Very high engine spec. I see that it has lowered floors, not sure that is needed since this is bigger than standard Caterham. I cant tell if it is a standard 5sp or the Caterham 6 sp.

Nice Caterham!

He said it's a 6-speed.

Hi yes its the standard Caterham 6 speed.

The lowered floors are because I am 6ft 1 and it is more comfortable behind the screen. If I was ever to put it on a track then the helmet would also easily pass the broomstick test.

Red" is this car still available? I have a 2012 CSR 260 which has become an exclusive track car (I went to Denver to build it with Jon but have had it extensively modified for the track by Beachman Racing in Washington (fantastic operation). I miss being able to drive on the road and saw your car for sale and am interested.

My car is for sale again as the buyer had to pull out due to some bad luck.

Pretty much all the info is in this thread.

On the curved dash point...I didn't like it. The curved dash comes with tubes down the center between the two seats and it gets hot. It also intrudes a bit into the cabin. I thought the flat carbon dash looked neater and its certainly better in summer. Anyway, that was my choice.

Please contact me if you're interested.

Thank you Red. I have found another CSR. I wish you luck with the sale. It is a beautiful car.

I wish there was a greater State side appreciation for these cars. They are truly fantastic and

the purest form of driving around. Bar none.
