scannon
See if you can guess what engine is in it from the sound as it certainly doesn't sound like a Model A engine.

Sped up film, bad over dubbing, I'm surprised you did not save this one for April Fools Day
scannon
You don't believe that is a Cosworth BDA? Note the timing belt on the front of the engine. Not found on a OEM Model A. Clever arrangement to conceal the fact that the top of the cam cover is not the top of a cast iron Ford flathead. Individual throttle bodies, not found on OEM Model A engines. xcarguy
It's powered by a 122ci aluminum Cosworth BDA http://www.hotrod.com/cars/featured/hrdp-0803w-1929-model-a-touring-car/
mrmustang
Guess I stand corrected, still something about the driving scenes that screams artificial manipulation.
xcarguy
Guess I stand corrected, still something about the driving scenes that screams artificial manipulation. The reluctance is understandable…a Cosworth BDA in a Model A Ford is just wrong on so many levels. :jester:

powderbrake
Sounds good, but lacks that tinny, hollow sound of a real Model A. My first car was a 1928 Model A Coupe. I had a buddy who also liked Model A's, and he built a dragster with a model A engine with a Funk overhead cam conversion. Fast, but nowhere near as fast as a BDA. MudHut
i think it's great that it was built to be not only a sleeper, but deceptively as far as sound and visually. a lot of time was put into that machine.
