Whats the best way to ship a gearbox from UK to US?

No its not a seven gearbox, its for my BMW

 

I need it picked up in the UK, packaged, shipped and delivered. Anyone ever used/recommend any shipping services that would make life easy for me?

Sadly, I am not there until late September and I want to keep this restoration going. It is over checked baggage limits (its a BMW so not exactly lightweight).

best bet is to find a consignment company that will add you trans to another shipment to drop the cost. if you find one of thee i would be a few transmissions as well that i cant seem to find here. maybe get a package deal.
