Just so you’ll know your not alone, I was having electrical issues (low voltage light coming on and voltmeter dropping to zero). Took the long way around to discover the alternator was fine (maybe loose ground light; fixed itself once I took off and reinstalled alternator) and the voltmeter was bad. Live and learn.

Which Caterham Tom, yellow or orange? I am guessing orange as the Rover engined yellow Cat has been relentlessly reliable.

My mechanic is slowly pursing solutions to the apparent low oil pressure I have, once warmed up. We are exploring the ideas folks like Shane and Tom P (1turbofocus) suggested in a separate post. Next track day is in 2 weeks so I will see if our tweaks helped (including checking the accuracy of the oil pressure gauge).

Hi Mike, yes it was Orange. Yellow has been very solid for 18 years now. Orange is another story. Nothing is stock like Yellow, and everything is top of the line and complicated. As you have said before, you spend some time getting the car right after you buy them.

 

I'm taking Orange to George Alderman to have it corner weighted and set up for me next week. I've never felt confident pushing it on track. Yellow sticks like it's on a rail. And George set up Yellow. Hopefully I'll be able to use a little more of all that power.

Lots of familiar names (and cars!), cant wait to hang out and shoot the breeze (and drive T-Bolt). Without a doubt, my favorite track experience all year, as much for the socializing, food, venue, humorous awards nite, as actual driving. Mike and Tom throw a memorable party.
