This was the South track at Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, IL. Best lap of the 2.06 mile track was 1:52 ... Went in hoping for under 1:50 but had passengers in every session. I apologise for the wind noise ... I showed up unprepared to run my remote mic securely so I went with GoPro sound (yuck)

This is a little ridiculous ... But a friend recorded some laps with a camcorder ... The sound is MUCH better than the GoPro but the video is very shaky ...

Your car sounds exactly like mine, but since both are Zetec Caterhams from early '00's, that's not a surprise. I never met a race track that i didn't like, tho have to say the flat-as-a-pancake Autobahn is not a fav. Even in the NJMP flat lands they built in just enough elevation (blind uphill turns, steeply banked corners, etc.) to make it interesting.

I drive Autobahn Country Club often because I live nearby ... But I can't wait to take a trip to Road America with the Seven. Do you live in IL or have you driven the ABCC on visit?

I am in Cincy Ohio BG. Road America is on my list of epic tracks to visit. Now THEY have elevation change (and great brats:)). Probably not a great fit for our aerodynamically challenged se7ens but who cares! Most of my tracking is nearer to home (Putnam Park, Mid-O, Nelsons Ledges, Gingermann, Waterford Hills). Never been to A Bahn, not likely to go, tho would if I were in IL.

Well, my membership expires in August and I probably won't renew ... But if you would like to give it a try, I would love to have another Seven to play with on track, I will be going 7/17 & 7/18 weather permitting.

I agree, having se7en company on (and off) the track is great. At the moment I am grounded, pending trailer repairs. I will PM you once that gets resolved for possible meet-ups in the future. It's great that you have a local track that you can easily access via your membership. My track visits take a lot of planning.

Just thought I'd sneak in a plug for my favorite track, Oregon Raceway Park, with one of the fastest track day cars out there, a Palatov, he really turns it on about the middle of the video. This was a private track day so not a lot of traffic,

did I say I love this track.

BG, thx for sharing this thread with everything but the kitchen sink:).

Shane:Nothing dramatic, it is a 7 year old budget trailer and it seems that everything wore out in the last month. The safety items are the trailer brake system and the trailer's emergency brake trip wire. But you name it, it broke (door hinge, tongue winch, door stop, interior, light, on and on and on-ya get what ya paid for).

Shane, I would same the same thing about your trailer experience. I am dying to find out how fatigue played a factor? BTW, I am also dying to find out why your BEAUTIFUL Storker quit on you? :toetap05:
