Vovchandr
Unfortunately my "7'sDate.com" venture hasn't been very successful so far
Birkinman
Well Vlad I did check out the site, signed up, but was having trouble posting...said I was banned? I finally clicked the contact us button yesterday and voila I can now post. Happy to be a new member and hope to find value in the site. We had a Birkin group on Yahoo, but Yahoo is dying. I think they are looking to see if we can move files elsewhere, like here. Christopher
JohnCh
Sorry Christopher, we've had some very random issues where the backend software doesn't properly apply the user group rules. We are working on a fix. -John

As a former forum owner I can relate to a lot of issues of running one.vBulletin software has some bugs and from management side it's hard to be on top of all the loose ends. I'm glad it got sorted out. Are there are other Birkins in the area? Post up a picture! Edit. Seeing this thread bump is a pleasant surprise, 2020 with another curve ball. Birkinman
@Vovchandr I would like to be seen this year. Car is not currently running. I have battled fueling issues ever since I bought the car. It is a 99 Zetec with factory ECU. I think the issue has to do with only having 1 O2 sensor. I actually think the sensor is wired to the wrong pins of the ecu. No OBD port, so troubleshooting is a challenge. I’ve been debating a DanST bike throttle body conversion and just starting over with a new ECU. That option won’t get me out this year however with the rest of life going on. A little soldering and it will run again, but I think it is in a limp mode as it runs super rich and fouls plugs. I did take the cover off...just looking at it helps motivate me to think about working on her again. I can’t even remember why I stopped other than frustration. Anybody want a 1972 VW Beetle original survivor NY/NJ car...it’s in the way of the Birkin. I’ll make a point to post a few pictures soon

I think I run very rich and plan to have that troubleshot in the future as well. Sent out my FPR to get rebuilt but the pressure seems right/slightly high. Have you tried using a wideband to see if you switch between open and closed loops? I'm also on a Zetec with only upstream sensor but on a stand alone ECU. I don't believe you need a second sensor for rich/lean conditions. I believe second sensor only gets used to tell cat efficiency. Winter isn't very motivating to be working on projects but spring sure tends to light a fire to get things moving..
Djplaster
I have Birkin with 1998 Zetec with OEM ECU and only one upstream O2 sensor and it runs very well once warm. Likely the cause of the poor cold idle it is missing idle air control valve as I believe was removed to accommodate aftermarket intake. The second O2 sensor is there for system monitoring not engine control. Keep in mind the OEM fuel system /ECU are designed to run with a catalyst so they are designed to run a little rich for catalyst to function as there can't be any excess O2 in the exhaust stream. If you don't have a catalyst it will smell rich.
