fastg
Since I moved to the DC/Baltimore area I need a new track day group based in this area, does anyone have any info on https://autointerests.com/ Thanks Graham
FE07
Graham, Never heard of those guys. Join SCCA and do their PDX series. Chin Track Days has a good rep. and look into Potomac region PCA and the local BMW club which will have DE events at Summit Point and elsewhere. And try to get to the 7's event at NJMP in October. FE07
Unfortunately, you're correct (as always??) Had family friends weddings last 2 years. VERY inconvenient of them to schedule them the same weekend as the 7's event! Not really racing anymore so not much track time lately. Definitely looking forwards to October and plan to be there this year. Jim A
speedwagon
In 1972 my entrance fee at Pikes peak hill climb was $100. Never went back because winning only would have paid about $3300 (and had "been there- done that"). The world has changed a lot. Off road racing had much the same ending for me. john
fastg
I have been trading emails with one of the local PCA Riesentoter group that use Summit Point, they have a 3 day even in early April using 2 of the tracks. I have been emailing the member ship since last September. They opened registration at 9am Feb 1. So I registered, on Feb 5 I got an email saying my registration has been cancelled because "the front fenders must be firmly attached to the body of the car". Anyone got any clam-shells I can use:) Graham
Croc
Sorry Graham but PCA banned Caterhams and Seven type vehicles after a forum member redecorated his car across the top of Lime Rock at a PCA events. You have seen the repaired car before - its Tom's orange car he bought. Someone tried a clamshell car once and go rejected as PCA asserted clamshells are not firmly attached by welding as in a Porsche. Anyway, why do you want to drive with a bunch of slow old curmudgeons?
fastg
True, I have found an event a couple of weeks later at Summit Point run by the Auto Interest group, they seem perfectly happy to take my money. Graham

Graham Besides, it would mess up a 7's weight if you wore enough gold chains to satisfy them.
