I didn't get the owner's name. Perhaps someone else will chime in with the info.

Just beautiful shots. I am jealous, I wanted to go on that trip so bad it just isn't possible to leave for a month. I am surprised that you only have 4 cars. I was sure there would be at least 20. Oh well hope you enjoy the rest of the trip and keep us updated so we can live vicariously thru your adventure.

There are 10 cars 'officially' registered for the tour. Folks are joining and leaving along the way.

Sorry for no updates on day 2 as we didn't have internet access (or phone or TV - actually kind of nice) in Crater Lake National Park. Just more beautiful scenery and roads as you can see above, and then rain most of the afternoon of day 3. We have a free day today in Portland to dry off and relax. John C. joined us last night (Westfield-Duratec) and we need to get Ed Hudson a new tire. He bent his right front rim on a rock a few days ago and has a nasty vibration. Hopefully his spare rim will arrive today by Fedex. Tonight is a BBQ at Mike Johnson house. He is our support driver for the whole trip, and he lives near Portland.

Off to play tourist!

Well, pretty miserable weather indeed....and what really sucked was the trip had a lot of beautiful roads just that you could not see further than a few 100 feet and drive somewhat carefully (obviously I always drive carefully).

But we were at least lucky with the weather at Crater Lake. Here my shot:

P.S.: So far no major car problems (as long as Ed Hudson gets his spare wheel on time). Tom Jones' throttle sticking open was a relatively easy fix.

Came across several areas of free range cattle in the road. That's not mud on the fenders!

I am also getting some very nice video but that has to wait until I get home and can download to my home PC. Then another 2 or 3 months of editing and I suppose by Christmas I will have it ready for showtime
