Brightonuk
I was looking for options on a Carbon Fiber Exhaust Shield I was thinking can I just purchase a CF tube and slide it on the silencer secure it with a couple of rivets Will the CF stand up to the direct heat of the exhaust? Any other suggestions? Edited December 6, 2020 by Brightonuk
Vovchandr
CF is often used in motorcycle guards/shields and even parts of the actual muffler. Real CF should have no problem standing up to the heat. I can't advice on making your own but I have come across one manufactured by a company. Appears to have been an extremely limited run and maybe even not for sale but worth noting that it exists.

Nick OTeen
They are on facebook. From the looks of things they do contract manufacturing of carbon fiber components for other companies. https://www.facebook.com/enishi.carbon/photos/a.2111815259131559/2126048934374858 Their facebook page also shows pictures of carbon fiber cycle wings, dash panels and noses for 7s. Vovchandr
Company name? Just found them Enishi co.,ltd in Thailand but no website How did you even find them? Reverse image search doesn't like to them. I'm impressed. I think they have a Instagram as well but no luck on actually getting product out of them. fastg
CF can be used as heat shields, but beware not all CF will work. As someone said CF is often used in motorcycle mufflers, but only the good quality ones, a lot of the cheaper mufflers use a thin steel outer case with just a CF outer skin. I think it's the quality and thickness of the CF and the resin that is used to withstand the heat. We actually liked the metal motorcycle race mufflers because they can suffer an amazing amount of damage and still function, CF not so much.
