Hey guys,

This is going to come as a surprise to some of you because it seems like I just bought this car (1 year ago), but I have decided to place it up for sale as some circumstances in my life have changed and it will not get the use I intended for it. I'm not a huge fan of things just sitting in the garage for most of their lives. Basically in my ownership I have sorted out the flaws I ran into. The car was brought back into the US by the previous owner after he was done serving overseas. It is RHD with a Vauxhall C20XE motor built by Swindon. Dyno sheet with the car shows 238 HP. Ford Type 9 gearbox with straight-cut gears is currently in the car. There's an entire extra crated gearbox with semi helical gears that comes with it. The car is standard chassis, standard floor.

The things that have been done in my ownership:

Engine has been removed to fix oil leak coming from rear main seal. Several other seals that were easy to get to were replaced while the engine was out. Entire drive belt and pulleys were also replaced at this time.

The hole that was drilled into the bottom of the transmission to easily drain the fluid was leaking and we re-sealed that as well.

The extra resonator added to the exhaust pipe for more sound deadening was removed.

Coolant was flushed and refilled.

Repaired a few wiring gremlins that were old and worn, one of which that caused the blinkers to hyperflash.

Fuel pump relay and fuses related to the fuel pump were blown and replaced.

A new battery has been put in.

Extras:

The car comes with a whole load of parts. The ones I can remember this morning are:

Crated Type 9 gearbox with semi helical gears.

Entire extra set of wheels and tires as well as an extra set of tires and some random one offs.

Doors, roof and original heated windshield. I usually run the aero windscreen.

Shower cap car cover.

Wheel chock.

Battery cutoff switch (Never installed)

Entire binder of history that the previous owners kept. Originating from the original build order for the car. All services and parts bought for the car are kept in record.

18,xxx miles

Please feel free to ask any questions, I'm sure there's things I missed. Shoot me a PM and I can give you my phone number to talk about it. I also have a video of a full walkaround while the car is warming up.

Let me know if that's also something you're parting with at some point...

That being said, if anyone is seriously interested please reach out to me and let's make a deal!

My daily driver unexpectedly sold in less than 24 hours and I need this guy to be gone so I can replace my daily and stop riding my girlfriend's Z125 to work with the upcoming cold weather!

Not a buyer, just wondering what this is?

It was a resonator the previous owner added to quiet the car down. I have since had it cut off.

That looks like an "interference" capped branch designed to reflect waves in a phase to improve cylinder scavenging over a broader rpm range. Definitely old school/forgotten tech.

My first thought was a second track day muffler like I run on my 420R for UK track days.  It gets me down to 92db noise restrictions.
