Thanks. I'm assuming the tab is going under the chassis bracket to prevent it from tiping? Nice finishing with the black rubber trim. As you can see some of my aluminum skin is mangled in that area so that will hide the damage!

Yeah it should just slide and lock. 

 

That trim is a gigantic pita to install as well. I'm still not happy with it but it's good enough. You can see it doesn't truly follow the contour. More heat gun and relief cuts would be necessary.

Either way for what it’s worth I’m very happy with the look and with doing the swap. 
 

current biggest problem is making sure everything stays tight after more street testing and finding a good way to secure the Carbon fiber headlight buckets hopefully without drilling.  It’s a work in progress. I rarely drive at night and the headlight covers keep everything together in meantime

The problem with my carbon is that only the stone guard area has clear film on it. Nose and 4 fenders are all raw and yellowing. Very silly that it wasn’t clear coated.

What is the piece of carbon standing upright in the suspension ?

 

If I can get my carbon clean and clear coasted so it looks good then I’ll consider doing headlamps and pods.

finally getting back to this. Here is the misalignment. Either it’s a bad bracket or they made some changes between 2005 and now (other than the metric conversion). I haven’t tried the other side yet. I think my only choice is to dremel/cut it open and use a bigger washer to hold it tight.

So I elected to simply bend the tab back. Rendering it useless in terms of stopping the light assembly from tipping down. If it does tip down then I’ll use a self tapping screw as a second fixing point. Someone somewhere posted a picture of that. I though it was here. Anyways it’s already starting to look a lot better. Much less ‘buggy’

Left side done. It was much easier the second time around - of course. 
tomorrow I’ll tighten up the arb and put the hood and nose cone back on.

All done !!  Looks a billion times better. Now onto installing the Caterham LED taillights - next week

I do like the Low Light Look.  You've struck a nice balance.  I'd argue mine are too low.
