ok7 Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 Does anyone know what this part is called? I been searching and don't know what to use for key words. THANKS IN ADVANCE
MV8 Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 Looks like molded plastic or fiberglass. Either way it can serve as a pattern to make a new one or replaced with sheet rubber or a aluminum cover pop-riveted together without compound curves.

I don’t have the part, just pictures where they were used. I think I will be able to fabricate one from aluminum, just wanted to find one for ease….. Edited June 23, 2023 by ok7
toldfield Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 This could be a start that might save some work. https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/ruddercable.php 1

inchoate Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 not really on topic, but that's the least expensive thing i've ever seen from aircraft spruce. 1 1
IamScotticus Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 (edited) If you can make that, You can skin an entire 7. Edited June 24, 2023 by IamScotticus 1

Details? yes, a retirement project. I've had it about a year, 2005 Stalker, fifth maybe sixth owner unfinished.... and a bit of a mess. I’ve spent most of my time sorting the engine. Just starting to think about the chassis and body work. The picture is car on trailer ready to come home...
MV8 Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 Looks like a fun project! Interesting work by the previous owners. The nylon rod mounts for attaching a fan to a radiator are available separately. Looks like they put bolts through the core on a radiator that is no longer available. I'm glad they didn't finish it with the fuel line through the passenger compartment.
ok7 Posted June 25, 2023 Author Posted June 25, 2023 That fuel line was one of the first things to go! That raidator has been replaced and new puller fan located behind. It took quite a bit of effort to model and have a raidator built to fit, but I think it was well worth it. The shrouded puller fan should be more efficient also.
