Ctcat
Hello all. I have a 97 Caterham R300, with Rover K engine. The expansion tank cover came off and I am having a nightmare of a time finding a replacement. I have been to Caterham Parts a few times directly, they have sent me a wrong part and offered little insight into how to find a correct one. It is a snap cap type lid, happy to share pictures but am open to all suggestions around how to figure out the correct party. O'Reilly's and Autozone have also been dry wells. Any insights or ideas are welcome - I have resorted to buying a ton washer fluid lids and trying to brute force which one stays on so anything better than that is welcome. Thank you in advance for any insights from the community.
MV8
May want to make sure the radiator cap has not been "upgraded" to a higher pressure rated unit.
Ctcat
Very helpful. I will check this one as well - need to find the other cap though in the interim!

IamScotticus
I have the part numbers, I just need a picture. Unfortunately, the term "expansion" is used for both open and closed systems. The "cover" Cat has used for the oil catch/coolant expansion bottle is this: The pressure cap for the round expansion tank Land Rover LR3, is this: The square Rover 200&400 EAP 8713 and Oval Rover 600 A111K6004F Cap Is this: Edited October 3 by IamScotticus

Vovchandr
I'm confused by your comment that it's a snap on cap like a washer fluid. Can you provide a picture? Most caterhams to the best of my knowledge use a pressured tank with threads for a pressure release cap and not an overflow snap cap but I'm curious to see what you have
