peregrinemotors Posted May 10 Posted May 10 (edited) Peregrine Motors LLC is pleased to offer for sale our recently imported pre owned 1999 Caterham Super Seven Roadsport with the upgraded Supersport engine. If you are the purchaser and aren't local we are more than happy to refer you to our shipping partner who can make shipping to your doorstep a breeze. This is a very special Caterham that came from the factory in Roadpsort trim. In 2001 the owner at the time decided to take the Caterham to Caterham Midlands to get the Roadsport engine upgraded to the Supersport specification which increased the horsepower to 133HP from the original 115HP. The engine is a 1.6 liter four cylinder fuel injected Rover K-Series engine. This is a very sought after configuration in the United Kingdom. We imported this Caterham from the United Kingdom. Reiver Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Just a suggestion.... As this comes from England, I'd take some frame pics where rust could/can develop. 1

Also, it passed its last MOT in England and it has never had any advisories for rust/corrosion on any previous MOT's. With all of that being said, it has a solid chassis.

I wish you well, but I think you might be pricing yourself out due to your import margins. Thanks for reaching out. As I am sure you are aware most people that buy vehicles like to negotiate. The price listed is the asking price, I am obviously open to offers on the vehicle and people might be surprised at what I am willing to accept. 1 2

If you don't like the price being asked or see something wrong with the listing, send a message to the seller rather than pointing it out in their ad thread. The KS Corollary: If the seller isn't asking for pricing feedback, don't post to their ad that you recently sold or bought an identical item for less than their asking price. Can I also point out that these cars frequently get sold for wildly different prices on different days simply because they "tick" some buyer's checklist of specs on what is usually his bucket list car. Never begrudge a seller for asking - you will be selling something yourself some day. Negotiations sort things out eventually. Failing that, man math is a powerful tool in this universe for buying our "toys". Its unique to all of us. Our individual man math calculations will usually differ. However, us men should collectively be protective of this primal male instinct as we get enough shit from the better half (or some of us, divorced). @peregrinemotors Good luck with the sale. I particularly like the dark blue and yellow color scheme on this car. 2 2 1

It had the look, it had the spec. (And, in my case at least, it was close enough that I could go see it.) Edited Thursday at 10:02 PM by wdb
