yellowss7 Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Registration is now open for this coming Sunday's Autox in Warminster, Pa. Al, are you up for another shot at it weather permitting?? EvilRome0, is your car ready? Lance let your neighbor know about it, at least to meet a few other Se7eners. http://www.phillyscca.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3417
yellowss7 Posted October 23, 2007 Author Posted October 23, 2007 Bump for Al & EvilRome0 (I know you're out there) Weather looks good. Hope to see you there. Tom
Boxologist Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 don't forget to page over the PA system again
yellowss7 Posted October 23, 2007 Author Posted October 23, 2007 He's off the hook as we don't use the PA system at Warminster. But will EvilRome0 show up? :toetap: Tom
Al N. Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 I am officially and semi-gracefully bowing out of this one. Laura reminded me (and herself!) last night that we have a wedding show up in the poconos to work. So, no Auto-X and no drive with Atwell and company.

Boxologist Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 hey hey, A,D,E, and F modified have competitors for saturdays NYR autoX. I'm pretty stoked for the long weekend. promotional exam friday AM and 2 end of season AutoXs over the weekend.
yellowss7 Posted October 25, 2007 Author Posted October 25, 2007 Good luck Jon! Unless EvilRome0 shows up, looks like it might just be me, a 62 Lotus and a 71 series IV at Warminster this weekend. Tom
Al N. Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Look for an Orange Superformance S1 (don't know if he'll compete or just spectate) owned by Steve N. He contacted me via my carblog and said he'll show if the weather is good. Hope to see you all in the Spring...Orange may be put up as window display at my friends' NYC shop for Dec-Feb.
yellowss7 Posted October 25, 2007 Author Posted October 25, 2007 I remember Steve's car, a nice pearlesent orange. He ran at Boeing a few years ago. Hope he shows, weather forecast is holding. Tom
Boxologist Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 looks like i'll be running in the wet. dunno whether i'll be using the full hood or half hood. if everyone shows up and uses r comps this should be interesting. al, thats sounds awesome for Orange. But can u stand the separation?
Al N. Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Crap Jon, you know I hardly drive the thing even when it's warm out! I think it will show very well in their shop, a nice diversion from the string of Ferraris (and a great Aston Martin Lagonda) that have passed through. Though I'll have to wash it before putting it in.
Boxologist Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 u mean the diversions are Ferraris and Asston Martins.

Boxologist Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 1st day of autoX down. constant rain all morning and was a deluge at the awards ceremony. Started to dry out in the 3rd and 4th heats. started to rain just before my last (6th) run. times dropped in 1st heat then FTD 54.X sec GS Mini in the wet to 3rd geat 51.x FTD for a Pro Solo ES mkII MR2. i ran right around 60+1 1 secon on my runs in teh 2nd heat. i was able to drop 3 secs on my 1st run in the 4th heat when the surface was dry. spun 2x on the next run, and a 58 on my last run. spun in the lot putting some curbage on my front wheel. DOH! should be awesome weather tomorrow across the east for some nice times.

yellowss7 Posted October 28, 2007 Author Posted October 28, 2007 Just got home from a long day at the Philly Autox in Warminster. Nice cool dry sunny day. Steve N. showed up with his stunning Lambo Orange Superformance S1. EvilRome0 (Roman) made an appearace, and the new owner of Lance's caterham was there as well. This 7 thing seams to be growing. :hurray: Missed you Al and Jon. Tom
Boxologist Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Did you damage the wheel? 1-2" minor curbage. nothing that would not happen eventually. easily covered by brake dust. nabbed 1st in class (non marque -4 cyl - street tyre) at todays BMWCCA event. 5 secs off FTD, borrowed M3 on r comps by this years Rev It Up champion. spun the last 2 runs trying new ideas from an instructor, but did well enough in the morning heat. got 2 secs faster each run. pretty please with this season. maybe a Porsche Club next sunday at the beach to finish off the season seems like a pretty good idea. then a couple of weekends of illegal soapbox derbies in joisey for laffs. I found out today that one of the local usual suspects (Z3 ins ASP form) is building a Locost BMC se7en. he's going on 2+ years after someone else already gave up on it. sounds like a diaster and a half at the moment. i still can't shake the idea that i need R comps. granted it will cover a bunch faults, but I wanna be Ricky Bobby!
RGTorque Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 hello, I was totally oblivious to this thread i thought people were ignoring me when i posted the same thing in the regional section. first off id like to say that this is the first time ive had a chance to meet se7en people in person and it was great. everyone is very friendly and helpful to each other. i would like to thank Tom for letting me be a passenger (ballast) in his car during his second run, this will be something to remember. the S1 driven by steve was AMAZING build quality, definitely something to strive for as my se7en reaches closer for its second birth. i also got a chance to see lances old car, the 40th aniv and it was stunning, especially for its age. here is an album with pictures from the event, sorry im not a photographer. http://www.hostdub.com/GotEuroCorrado_album07 for those to lazy to click here are the highlights http://www.hostdub.com/albums/GotEuroCorrado_album07/CIMG1118.sized.jpg http://www.hostdub.com/albums/GotEuroCorrado_album07/CIMG1121.sized.jpg http://www.hostdub.com/albums/GotEuroCorrado_album07/CIMG1102.sized.jpg http://www.hostdub.com/albums/GotEuroCorrado_album07/CIMG1127.sized.jpg
yellowss7 Posted October 30, 2007 Author Posted October 30, 2007 Here's a pic of Roman providing excellent ballast, on run #2. Too bad you can't see the grin on his face. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1643316364_IMG_3900.jpg
