haltech users?

Has anyone here used a Haltech ecu?     or Megasquirt?

I'm considering trying one on a xflow.

I have two old haltech, both are on rotaries and one is so old it needs msdos to program. Have no familiarity with newer models. Looked into Megasquirt and all my knowledge is it is "open source" and works quite well depending on what mods you have.  john

I have used both Haltech and MS and would choose Haltech, but personally prefer LinkECUs. MS used to be open source, but is not after firmware 1.4 which is over 10 years old now. Regarding function, all will function well when properly tuned. How they go about it, documentation and support is where Haltech and Link shine.

I have a JDM tuner near me and he uses Haltech, but could do MS if I want. Problem I have with H is they dropped the Elite stuff, and then it starts getting pricey.

A xflow "fun project" doesn't warrant that    score 1 for MS

I'll give Link a look
