Have any of you seen this car - or talked about it on this forum?

They don't consider themselves a seven... just a track car. 1800 lbs. Chevy drivetrain.

The back could use some work :ack:

but I actually don't mind the front too much (if it results in any downforce)

Something about the front of that car looks "shark like" to me.

If you're really going for aerodynamics, why not do something similar to the older F1 cars. Kinda like this, but with the wings much lower to the ground, almost under the nose:

Kind of like the Brooke Double R?

It's tough to get that look with a seven due to the bulk of the engine in the front. The nose will have to be pretty long.

Here's another concept. Saw this posted by DIYMAN at the CCC. Not sure if it's his design, or just pics of another car:

I feel the same way. It'd be very nice for a dedicated track piece. I really like that it provides the full width of the front for a functional wing, and that it looks like the hood and nose cone are integrated.

I'm always a little worried about my hood taking flight, as has happened to a few folks.

Though the front nose on my Birkin is only held on with 4 M6 screws, I guess there is enough frame behind it to attach to for the front down force load.

Now the rear frame in my Birkin barely looks strong enough to hold up the fuel tank and the optional spare wheel. I can't see it holding any significant load from a rear wing. Wonder what he did?

It's surprising how a few add-ons really change the look of the car.

Doesn't look half bad (for a track day car).

and 5th and 6th latch or clip on the body to the bonnet. u could even put a latch on the nose or scuttle to the hood.

Alot of rules about downforce creating objects. Though, CSR's and other factory vehicles with some of these on them will let others get by with them soon enough.

D/E mod have rules stipulating that the overal outline/silloette of the vehicle can not changed. Mike D and Tom can do a better job of describing it. and the use of spoilers/certain aero aids.:banghead:

Jon, I don't know for sure but the car in picture in the first post with the F1 type nose, could probably run in A Mod. As for the black one in the next set of pics, I'd be more concerned that it would over heat. Doesn't look like it has sufficient air inlets.

And you're right, I don't think it would qualify for D/E mod. Maybe B mod.
