sparecr
Now Al, I am bringing 2 Sevens and probally will have the M100 (for sale, cheap) there on Saturday, all registeed under USA7s.org. So I am trying to help with the tent thing. Just a reminder to anyone who puts any car anywhere on the Fun Field make sure you register your club affiliation with USA7s.org. At 25 registered cars we get the tent for free. Seems we are less than 10 cars away.
gjslutz
I'm not sure I knew to register USA7s.org as I did this back on 3-17-08. Is there a code on the confirmation? There will be a Europa with me fo the "other group". I think Frank & Pat were planning on this with their CSR as well a few others from Cleveland, Oh area. Southwind 7 should know if they registered. xflow7
weather is still rain! cant drive a 7 with no roof You absolutely can! In fact, you can drive it in the rain when it's 40 degrees out and you have the flu...from Indianapolis to Ann Arbor. Ask me how I know. (Okay, true that *particular* drive was really unpleasant, but I've driven loads of times in rainy weather with no top and short of torrential rain it's really not unbearable)

EburgE
I will be trailering my near-complete Seven. Don't laugh at me. Bringing tent/sleeping bag. Can I camp at somebody's site? --Harold What still needs to be done? Alternator wiring (still drains the battery); tach has no connection on engine; brake lights; headlights and turn lamps; doors; tonneau; O2 sensor; ECU mounting plates; torque wheels to 200 ft. lb; throttle cable attachment needs improvement; rivet fuel filler cover; side mirrors; windshield wipers; detailing; title/registration; etc.

sparecr
Should we bring some toold and let Harold drive his car home? Double check that wheel torque, one of the highest I have seen. The only higher number I have seen on a lightwheight car areE the Radicals at work 250 but that is a single nut.
11Budlite
"Can I camp at somebody's site?" - I have a camping spot as well as a spot to park the truck/trailer so I'm sure we have room for you Harold. "torque wheels to 200 ft. lb" - Did you mean the axle nuts? If you did, I have a torque wrench that goes up to 250 ft/lb (I think) that I can bring if you have the socket. Let me know. southwind25
Carlisle newbies Questions: Looking at the carlisle website, this place is huge.. and while we expect attendance to be down due to flood warnings just south of carlisle, we are guessing theres going to be allot there yet. How do we find the USA7's contingent when we get there friday night (sat morning?)..We am sure we could drive around till we find everyone, but at 1:00 am is there a certian section that is designated already? Will we be getting a canopy? Is there a possibility of pitching our little tent behind the car? We got the car all buttoned up, waxed and rain-x'd, we have our raingear and are looking forward to making some new stories to tell. carlisle or bust. Al N.
Robert- The majority of us will be rolling in on Saturday. John V. will be there on Friday, though... There should be a large tent reserved for USA7s...but I don't know if you can get in after normal hours (vendors are allowed though). Regarding parking/camping, you'd have to check with Carlisle...I doubt they'd let you camp on the showfield...though you could bring your car over to the campground. -Al

sparecr
I will be at the Hampton Inn if you have problems. I won't be chipper at 1AM but always willing to help a 7ner. Cell is 703-371-0245. As far as camping you really need to check with Carlisle, I am not sure camping is allowed but I know some were camping in the parking area last year. I will be in Carlisle by 10-1030 AM
