Hey guys, my wife and I sat ( or should I say attempted to sit in ) yet another 7 replica this past weekend at Sebring Intl. Raceway..... No luck once again!!!! This time it was a replica by RM called an RM7. What a cool car... just WAY TOO small. We really are looking to buy a 7 type car, are there any that will fit what I consider to be a NORMAL size guy?? I am 6'2" approx. 250lbs.... not fat, think triathlon/weight-lifting bulid, size 14 foot... Are there any 7 type cars that will fit? I can stuff my foot into a size 13 racing shoe for the right car!! We would like to be fairly comfortable in the car on a long trip... Thanks, Todd

Todd,

Have you tried on a Caterham SV for size? AFAIK it is one of the largest Se7ens out there.

I have size 12 feet and I actually moved the brake pedal closer to the throttle pedal for better heel and toe work. I think a size 13 or even a 14 would fit.

I'm 5'10" and I have to move the seat forward about 4". A fellow who was 6'4" and 250 lb tried it for size last week and is now off dreaming about a Se7en again, having previously given up on them due to his size.

As I am part of the Big Boy club, 240 and 6ft3. The Stalker is a great fit, alot more room than my S1, even thats not to bad. What fit me the best is my buddy's Cat SV.It has very nice seats and good room for a bigger driver.

I too would say look at the Stalker. Cost wise I still think it is one of the best deals out there. And Al is right they are FAST, but very drivable. Oh and the Brunton's are second to none on customer service.

Another "biggie" checking in!

I'm 6'2" and weigh 255, have a 11.5 shoe and fit very well in my Stalker.

One caution though, you can't expect to have the kind of room you're used to in your "normal" car. I normally wear driving shoes and there is no extra room down in the foot well. When my foot is off the clutch I brace it against the floor crossbrace as there is no room for a "dead pedal" or such.

It's still a small car, but it's very easy to adapt to its size.

I'm 200lbs and 6'3" and have size 12 shoes. I can fit easily into the Cat SV with "standard" shoes. My usual problem is leg room, and I have to pull the seat forward an inch or two to fit right. That has only happened before in a '70s Caddie and an '80s Porsche.

Good luck in your search.
