slngsht
Hi Jerry, If you scroll down a little more on the screen where you post, there should be a button for adding attachments. Try it that way.
athens7
I've been in and out of the site a couple of times now, and every time I come back, it shows my last visit was 12/31/1969 at 7 pm. Even if I close my browser and re-open, it is the same. What's up?

Alaskossie
Slngsht, How do I activate that feature that when I respond to a thread or start a thread, later responses to that thread automatically get flagged to my e-mail? I had it once, on one early thread, but not on any later thread.
JohnCh
Alaskossie, go to User CP > Edit Options, scroll down to Default Thread Subscription Mode and set the drop down box to "instant e-mail notification" and click Save changes at the bottom of the page. -John

Westfield 11 Builder
I like the upgrade, but I am having trouble with the post #'s within the individual threads: everything is listed in reverse order. That is, on page 5/the last page, the bottom entry is post #1 and to see the newest entry I have to go to page 1. This is the reverse of what occurs at any other forum, is it due to a setting problem in my profile? I looked, but didn't see anything about a reverse order setting. slngsht
strange that it's defaulting that way. Here is how you can fix it: go to User CP > Edit Options. scroll down to thread display options. Then select your choice: Linear - Oldest First or Linear - Newest First. Anyone else have this problem?

DB6
I liked the old site better.Nice and simple, like ...oh yeah a 7 (well, like they can be). Was there a reason to change the site, was it broken? This is just like so many other forums now. I would have thought that there would have been discussion within the club and asked members for feedback before such radical changes were made, then again as I was told before:"this is not a forum for free speach,if you don't like it leave"...so what do I know. http://www.californiacaterhamclub.com/chat/ et al.. Jim F.
I like being able to click on "New Posts" and "View First Unread." Saves a bit of time for me as I check in 2-3 times a day to look at the new postings. As I said in a previous post, I've enjoyed the "other" 7 site (CCC) because of its simplicity and approve of our new format.

Yes, there were some things that were broken. The old search functionality was basically non-functional. You could not retrieve old threads with it. On an almost weekly basis, I had someone contact me because the forum would not let them log in. This wasn't a case of the problem being between the keyboard and monitor. There was some type of cookie management problem with the old site. In two years of running on it, there was no upgrades. The youtube functionality, as well as a couple of other things, I had to write myself. There are a ton of features on the new site that you should feel free NOT to use if you choose not to. They're available if you'd like to use them. Finally, club officer elections are coming up this may. You're free to run. Members elect the officers, officers run club operations. The old forum had several different skins, and this one will too, if you don't like the plain looks. It's not the most pressing item on the agenda right now. Lastly... It's not an option yet - I have to upload some skins, then you will be able to select from them. I spent about 4 hours looking through them, and didn't quite find one that would work with our old logo - which I really liked. Feel free to look online for them. Here is a list of free ones: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=95 If you guys can find a few I can upload them, and you can use them as optional skins. solder_guy
I don't know if this has been discussed already .. but when replying to PMs, this program will say that you have to wait up to 60 seconds between replies .. So I typed one reply to one person .. and then typed another quick reply to another member .. and the program told me I had to wait for 60 sec .. then I hit reply again and it said 11 seconds .. so I counted and finally I sent the reply. Weird! Rob
