Hmmm,

Not sure about the origin, but looks well done, the other thing is what country is it in...

RHD and a kid wearing sandals with socks, I was thinking Holland( yeah I know all of mainland EU is LHD but Holland and Switzerland have a lot of original UK cars with RHD, but who knows.

Where did you find the pic West7, I have never seen this before.

where is the filler cap, the wood ( is it wood trim) looks great.

That is Germany, the "RO" prefix on the license plates actually means it is issued in the county of Rosenheim, Bavaria.

Germany is left hand drive but like here there are UK imports with RHD.

FWIW that car has temporary red dealer plates

No idea what it is, either.

Yes its a tough one, this was posted on a general car site here in the uk and the poster wanted to know what it was. Yes the info given was that it was in Bavaria.

Its got Triumph front susp, so I was thinking at a very early caterham?, could even be an original modded Lotus.....?

It is a puzzle: It has right hand drive, right hand exhaust, nose cone mesh (heat exhaust?), knock off wheels, many lovely custom-looking details, and some less lovely ones (the steering wheel looks likes it belongs on a dune buggy). The word Jahre (printed on the hood/bonnet) is German for year.

The Donkervoort has dual nose cone meshes and rt hand exhaust but is LHD.

Whatever it is - I like the look of it.

I spent some time browsinig the Denis Ortenburger book and unfortunately did not get a clear match. It sort of matches the Donkervoort S7 or Glauner Rush in elements of styling but the distinctive dash shape did not match either of those.

is bang on 60,s British sports car, I had one just like that on my 63 E Type.

Had to be careful when bored in traffic that you did not wiggle your finger in a hole and get it stuck.

I think its a mota-lita wheel, I had one on my old Triumph. But yes you are correct about getting your thumb stuck, I actually did that whilst upside down in the footwell ( sorting out the electrics), I used the steering wheel to pull myself up and put my thumb through it, lucky for me my hands were oily so it came out......

Still no nearer myself, spent an hour or two browsing google images for matches - nothing found as yet.

UK build,I am also thinking poss a one off, but the attention to detail is quite unusual, look at the nice roll bar but then at the way the deck cover is custom cut with snaps to fit the tubes etc.

It really is VERY nice.

This is not elementary dear Watson....quite the mystery car?????

Trying to trace the bonnet event sticker, thats just as hard. Been searching for the last hour now. I have blown it up a bit but I dont speak german, can anyone make any other words out on it. I have "Rosenheim" so far. I know its from a ADAC event, but cant find which one !. The poster said it was from the ADAC Bavaria Historic rally, but its not as I have been through both the 2009 and 2008 entry lists. There is one 7 listed but its not this one - well unless this is a very modded Lotus 7 S4 , which i doubt very much.

I have been searching too. It's from the ADAC Rosenheim 30 Jahre. So I think it's the 30th Anniversary for ADAC Rosenheim. It's car number 28. And there are 2 more pictures I could find. Unfortunately I couldn't find a participant list
