lowflyer
Not as hot as it will be here! Ken Edney Chandler, AZ (115 today)
MHKflyer52
Mondo and lowflyer, I was in Hawthorn yesterday afternoon and at 4 pm it was 109 by the readout in the mini van that we were in and the bank across the street that we were parked in front of said that it was 106. I sure am glad I live near the beach as the high in Ventura was 74 and clear skies.
slngsht
it's been absolutely beautiful around DC this year. I believe only one 90 degree day this year. Unfortunately, this weekend's activities don't include driving the seven
yellowss7
It's a beautiful 78 degrees here in Media, Pa. today. Just got back in from a 2 hour blat with my eldest daughter. The only reason we came home was that we were having trouble breathing. It's just amazing that it actually is hard to breath when driving at speed. Lots of waves today from all the sports car drivers. A nice 57 Vette driver almost fell out out his car while hanging out over the door, trying to get a good look at us. Even a couple of nice old Porsche drivers gave us waves. Great day to be out. Nice that our fearless leader has fixed that nasty Global warming problem already. Mondo
Well it was about 90 degrees when I got back a little after 9am. I cut it a little short as the morning sun's glare was getting to me.... with no visor, brushed aluminum dash (didn't think about sun's reflection when choosing it) and the fact I can't keep a baseball cap on kept me squinting thru my sunglasses. Still was fun and was able to show a couple sportbikers what these cars can do in the corners;)
Kitcat
Mondo: I wear sound-deadening "ear muffs" for protection from the noise and they have the added benefit of holding my ball cap in place. Mike
Mondo
We can't wear earplugs in California (though most sportbikers wear them under their helmet). I wear some molded earplugs from my bike days... but their purple so only out in the foothills or if on the freeway for any length of time... should of gotten the flesh color. I wish we could wear ear protection as that would definately solve the problem. Baseball cap with chinstrap would be pretty dorky

scannon
I think printing out a copy of that section of the code and carrying it along with your registration and insurance card might be a good idea. I've asked several officers here in Colorado about ear plugs and have had different answers from each.
MHKflyer52
An officer that I know here in Southern California told me about the same code slomove posted (CVC27400) and said the same thing that scannon said to do but then warned that if you are pulled over by an officer while driving for any reason and they see that you have sound protectors on (the Mickey Mouse type) and do not have a hearing aid then it opens the door to a ticket for a too loud of exhaust and some city's have some strange noise codes but most use 89db as the noise limit. I do have the flesh colored foam ear plugs that I use on occasionally on the few highway trips I take in my 7 when I remember to take them with me and they due make a big difference. Mondo
That's good news (printed it out & in car). Of course the main reason I put the plugs in is because of the speed I'm going... guess it's better than getting a ticket for two infractions;)
