Can someone explain DNO 78 or is ONO 78. I don't get it.

Also someone has plate IMLUCKY and says they are a "professional price winner. What the heck is a pro prize winner? Can you really make a living at it?

A co-worker's wife was a professional prize winner. Her job was to enter as many contests as many times as possible. She had an amazing ability to win a new car every time her husband would wreck one which was several times a year.

She won vacations, merchandise and cash. What she won that they didn't need was sold and documented and tax paid on the value received rather than the inflated price the contest announced for the prize.

IIRC she reported around $40k income per year in the early 80s and spent five to ten hours a week at it.

When Missouri first started having vanity plates I saw a car going down the highway with the top down and a real good looking lady driving it. The tag said................A1TAIL.

I guess that one slipped by the censors. Russ

LOL....it is Lousiana you are referring to here - no surprise really :D

Where I came from Skippy was the bounding furball that would leap across your hood in a single bound and frighten the living carp out of you - assuming it did not come through the windscreen and become a heaving mass kicking around in the car. :ack:

its funny what will get by the censors. I think it a cultural thing , once one gets outside the realm of basic profanity. I registered my old Jag "DGSBOLX", as a kind of inside joke and while the car itself gets a lot of attention I have had a few people over the years get it (mainly Brits or Anglophiles) and comment approvingly, even though they were surprised the MVA issued it.
