Was at the GGLC Autocross today where I was surprised to see an orange Ultralite that I had never seen before (owner is not on the forum). Plus a few hours later Jim also showed up in his blue one and I was able to take this awesome picture of 3 in a row.

I wonder how often there have been 3 Ultralites in the same place (with the exception of Loren and Kevins garage that is :))

I have never randomly seen another seven on the road while in my seven. except the guy who happened to be driving the dragon in his S1 the same weekend as 7/7/7

I've actually seen a few different Sevens at track days and autocross but this was the first time ever that I had seen another Ultralite and it was quite surprising to see 2 others at the same time. Come to think about it this was probably 3% of all Ultralites ever made (

Got to ride a few laps with RNR and even with his brake bias locking up the rear under anything but moderate pressure he turned a 49.9. Very impressed. Oh, and his right front wheel was rubbing on left turns, seems the inner wheel bearing was Kaput, kinda messing up the contact patch. Anyway, as the Beach Boys say, it was fun, fun, fun till Rahul put the S2K away. Thanks for the rides Rahul!.

From Ft. Collins on the north end to Castle Rock of the south end, the Denver area has 9 Se7ens that I know of with another one close to being on the road and one Caterham still in the crate since purchased new in 1976. I'm not counting any Se7ens that happen to be passing though Caterham USA on their way to new owners.

I have seen Se7ens on the road several times that were not part of a planned event.

There were two Caterhams and an Elise at the Colorado School of Mines car show today. Almost everything else was an American based hot rod or muscle car. The Elise got the trophy for being the "Most Desirable Car" at the show by popular vote.

Once in a while we get 3 or 4 Ultralites together.

here are 4 at the Tail of the Dragon. I'm in front , then Chuck Spera, Then Kevin, and I forgot who was in the black one with the ghost flames.

Here are 5 at Run & Gun, 2008

Nearest is Kevin's Mojito, then Paul Snyder, then me, then Chuck Spera's XR7, and I didn't get the name of the guy with the black one ( or i'm getting senile)

Great meeting you as well Jim - too bad about the mechanical issues holding up the car yet again. Once the temperatures went up in the afternoon I was able to do a 49.3 in the Elise on street tires. I really need to learn how to drive the Ultralite :banghead:

Well I think I'm the only other road-going S2K in California.... would of loved to be there.

Perhaps you can make it up for one of the GGLC track days? They have 4 days coming up at Thunderhill this summer. http://gglotus.org/trkdays/ggtrkday.htm

Nice pics Jerry. I'm jealous that you got to see Mojito. I need to beg/borrow/steal a ride in it some day.

I'll be joining the GGLC this week. With any luck I'll be seeing my wheels by the end of this month or very early May. If so I'll have time to get a set of gummy tires on and finish setting up the suspension and brakes in time for some early Thunderhill action. Poor timing on the delayed wheel delivery as I'll be back east for about two weeks and not back till the first week of May, hope it doesn't cause a problem.

Thanks again for the rides. You should check out the bias bar, unless you set up a lock on the end of the shaft they can "walk" and change your ratio of front/back pressure. The Wilwood hydralic adjustment is cheap and lets you do the fine tuning from the drivers seat once you get the bias bar close.

What about the red and aluminum one we saw at cars and coffee last summer in Potomac?
