MHKflyer52 Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 The Porsche 904 is worth more and would be easier to restore but that is just my belief. Cool photos never the less...just woundering where and how old some of those photos are.
slngsht Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 there was a gullwing Merc, and a mid year Vette in there that did not look that bad. I'd start with those 2
S1Steve Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 I'm with Martin, I like to have a go at the 904. But thats just what I like. To bring anyone of them back to life would be lots of money, and it would help to restore them right. I have tryed to restore cars in the past and I was always missing the money and talent to do it any higher than a drive status. Oh Well !!!!!
sparecr Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Ferrari 166 or the Cobra Daytona Coupe. I am going face value that both these are real cars. And this is a for profit pick.
Boxologist Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 The 300SL gullwing or the Lambo Muiras. After that would be the Pantera.
DeanG Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Daytona Coupe would probably net the biggest ROI & restoration cost would be sub $200,000 VW bug the cheapest restoration Muria might be a good candidate You can find Porsche 911, 928 RR for under $10K in running condition. On Saturday a mechanic friend told me about a $3K brake job on an MG midget. Restoration is expensive. How do I know? Another $1K bill for the Seven arrived in the mail today.
Mondo Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Did you notice that Muira with what looks like off-road nerfbars on the front (7th pic)? Funny
Hank Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Tough call. Daytona Coupe or the Split Window Corvette http://visboo.com/img/03042010/22379.jpg http://visboo.com/img/03042010/66567.jpg
Jim F. Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 As I was scrolling down the photos a thought came to me that some shots could have been taken from the History Channel's "Life After People" series.
TheDingo8MyBaby Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Daytona Coupe would probably net the biggest ROI & restoration cost would be sub $200,000 There's quite a story to that Daytona Coupe. http://www.norcal-saac.org/archive/csx2287.html The car was given a sympathetic restoration and is now on display at the simeone museum in philadelphia
