snookwheel
Give Scott a call at Brunton Automotive in Bradenton, florida. He can get you in touch with Dennis Brunton who I believe is a distributor of AVO shocks. http://www.bruntonauto.com/ The Se7en based Superstalker comes with the AVO coil over shocks. He will be able to get you what you are looking for. Dennis is a wealth of knowledge re the shocks and what works for a se7en! As is Scott and Glen Minehart, the new owner(s) of Brunton Automotive. slomove
Did you get single or double adjustable? what was their "reasonable" price incl shipping if I may ask? thanks I have single adjustable. Bought it 5 years ago and back then the double adjustable were not available. I suspect I would not know how to adjust them properly anyway without a shock dyno. If I remember correctly (but not sure) I paid about $160 each, with made to order length. No idea what they may cost today. Of course shipping was another couple of bucks. A shock dyno (while invaluable in our race trailer) doesn't automatically tell you how to set dampers, all it's doing is telling you what forces the damper produces under what piston speed conditions. It's car behavior and what dynamic "evils" you are trying to cure that determines how you adjust the settings. It takes a lot of experience (with both dampers and the car in question) to be able to look at a damper plot and predict car behavior, or vice-versa. :-) Bolt the dampers on, go drive, make logical adjustments, drive some more, see where car is better or worse. A chassis engineer can help you make the logical changes, or you can trial and error it providing you maintain track and tire conditions constant throughout. Only if car gets better continuously and you run out of adjustment in one direction do you need to think about dyno's and revalving the dampers. Scott should be Dennis' email is coilovershocks@aol.com He can be very helpful in helping Se7ens owners/builders with their performance shocks and springs questions. He will need to know specifics on your car that will require measurements on your behalf to help select the correct front and rear shock/spring rate for what you are trying to achieve.
