LEO NJ/NY/etc - November 14 Spirited Drive

I was concerned that it would be too cold to participate in the drive. Good to see temp is heading up again.

My slave cylinder is leaking and my RF fender bracket is cracked, but as long as I can get the repairs done before Sunday, Nancy and I should be able to make it for the drive. The weather is looking pretty good for the weekend! :)

I've arranged for everyone a tour of the hangars at Van Sant airport. If you are an avaiation buff, bring your camera as you will be able to get up close to some of the aircraft kept there. A few nice Stearman biplanes, Cubs sailplanes, etc.

don't forget the official plan boys!

Any Se7ens heading to Frenchtown should try to meet up with us along the way...

From the Lotus Talk fourm:

Chris & Ron, Let's meet at the Stateline Diner 375 Rt. 17 North, Mahwah (Leave 7:30) and head South on I-287

Atwell, Dave and anyone else can meet us at the Dunkin' Donuts in Parsippany (Leave 8:30) then to I-78 to Clinton

Mike, Jon, Richard & Stewart, Why don't you meet up with us at the traditional Se7en Shell station at Exit 15 off of I-78 (Leave 9:30) near Clinton and take Mike's road to Frenchtown.

Just a "draft" plan... Suggestions, additional drivers and recommendations are more than welcome.

Karl"

Thanks to Bill T. for hosting the get together, Atwell H. for planning the drive, and everyone else who contributed. Nancy and I had a lot of fun! :) Hope everyone made it home safe, and Jon, I hope you were able to solve your "small" problem. Sorry we couldn't stay longer to help you out more. After tonight's drive home, I think I finally convinced Nancy that a heated jacket would make a nice Christmas present.

got back about 2 hours ago. Mostly cosmetic. The MeOtter will likely match the 7 in color scheme now that the oppurtunity presents itself. One of the other neighbors was a big help in getting going again in a hurry long before AAA could arrive. Mike and stuart stayed around kibbitzed w/ one of the adjacent homeowners while we wait and futzed about trying to get underway by our own ideas. We they bee lined back for NJ/NY w/ Stuart keeping an eye on me from behind in case any further problems manifested themselves.

karl - thanks for getting that up so quick. there was a section of teh driver where we drove thru some areas where leaves we falling right off teh tree as we were driving. I thought that would make great footage if u can make out that its leaves that are falling.
